My point is the same as it's always been. It's just that you were lying about what it was because you think it's reasonable but you want to portray me as unreasonable. Here's from my very first post in the thread:

"It's a lock that he'll accuse his opponent this time of being a criminal and not as certain that law enforcement won't go along with it."

I stand behind that 100%. He'll accuse his opponent of being a criminal, and the chances that law enforcement will go along with that are higher than they were when he pulled that in 2016.

Cherry picking your own post...LOL. Priceless. Here's some more:

Imagine if he were to lose and start demanding mass arrests or something as president.

Like, just imagine that, man!

Our democracy hasn't been in greater danger since the Civil War.

Hysterical Liberal Hyperbole for $200, Alex.

Yeah, the whole thing is consistent with the same point. If he were to do that, which is certainly possible, what would law enforcement do? Just say, "he's a clown, whatever" or treat him like a real president? When do you think American democracy has been in greater danger?

Well Jack, he is the real President. Tell me, what exactly has been stopping him from using these magical powers and declaring himself King up until now? Why would it take an election loss to make Boogeyman Trump flip that switch?

Your whole premise is flawed, since he has more power right now than he would after an election loss, and wouldn't you know it, America is still America. No dictatorship. No death camps. No nothing. You're just being a typical hysterical Lib, screaming that the end times are near, because DRUMPH!. History will look at you people like the crazy loons you are.

When do you think American democracy has been in greater danger?

It never really has been in danger, and certainly isn't now. It's been through a lot more than Liberals suffering from TDS.

Well Jack, he is the real President.

So the answer to my question is that if he alleged fraud that it would be treated as a serious allegation and taken as seriously as a similar allegation by any previous president would be? Then you see the issue, right?

It never really has been in danger, and certainly isn't now. It's been through a lot more than Liberals suffering from TDS.

You don't think that the president routinely accusing critics of being criminals imperils democracy? If he alleged that a loss were illegitimate and it was taken as seriously as you think it would be, would that imperil democracy?

You don't think that the president routinely accusing critics of being criminals imperils democracy?

No. I could easily say that the Democrats are threatening democracy by routinely calling the POTUS a criminal, and suggesting the election was rigged. I wouldn't do that though, because democracy is just fine, and these are just politicians playing political games. In 20 years from now, American democracy will be unchanged, and this hysterical nuttery floated around by you and your Liberal ilk, will be looked back on and be the subject of mockery.

Hey @Jack V Savage did you catch Clare Malone's take on the CNN Townhall format? She's always a tiny bit cynical but I think she just leveled up

But he is a criminal.

Your reasoning in here has been really weird. It's like you're unaware that Trump has already questioned election integrity several times, that he's called for his political opponents to be jailed (and Barr couldn't say that Trump did not ask him to investigate opponents), that Trump has not already said it would be great if he could be president past his term, etc.. Whether he'll succeed or not remains to be seen but he is absolutely threatening our Democracy.

His argument basically boils down to we shouldn't worry because Trump is to inept

People have generally ignored his illegal orders.

But we saw the Saturday Night Massacre unfold. Fortunately for us at the time Congress was willing to check the President.

The current Senate......

LOL. You could say all that about Democrats. You realize that for two years, it hasn't been Trump banging the drums questioning election integrity, right? Not Trump starting a bunch of bullshit investigations on his opponents, right?

So tell me, since those are your standards, why aren't the Dems a threat to democracy? They seem to be a hell of a lot more guilty of doing what you believe to be a threat to democracy than Trump, so what's your take on them constantly claiming the election was fraudulent, wanting to get rid of the electoral college, and wanting non stop investigations on their political opponents?

Let me guess, the Dems are just doing the right thing...

You guys are hilarious.

What Democrats were suggesting that the election was rigged?

You realize that the decidedly not bullshit investigation of Trump was started by his own appointee, right?

Trump himself pushed the CT that the election was hacked and illegal immigrants voted, in the millions, for Democrats. He claimed the election he won was rigged!

And no, you could not say the Democrats are guilty of what Trump is doing. It's not partisan, it's about the rule of law.

So tell me, since those are your standards, why aren't the Dems a threat to democracy? Which of them are attempting to weaponize the Justice Department through their AG? And which claim are you referring to? Hopefully not the actual election fraud that took place which was rightfully criticized.

And what does the view of getting rid of the EC have to do with this?

Let me guess, the Dems are just doing the right thing...

You guys are hilarious.

We are pointing out attacks on the rule of law and our Democracy and you pointed to a bunch of bullshit. Give us concrete examples that Dems have done anything on par with Trump. But even if you have an example I'll just agree that it's bad and they should be gone!

Trump has questioned the legitimacy of the popular vote in 2016 you dummy.

And The Electoral college is not democratic so getting rid of it is pro democracy. And people were calling for its abolition before 2016 for those reasons.

And once again Democrats weren't investigating Trump, that was the DOJ based on credible evidence.

YOu should know all of this

There's no objective truth in Heretic's model. Some people are accusing people of some things and other people are accusing other people of some things and only partisanship and hypocrisy would lead one to believe that some of the charges are true and others are not. That's how the water-muddying game works.

Trump does that a lot, too, and has even discussed it. Instead of "I didn't do it," which invites a critical look at the claims, it's "the people who are accusing me are in the other tribe and they did bad things," which invites a tribalist response.

This is truly eye-opening for me. I mean, what's next? @BarryDillon agreeing with Jack? If that happens, I may just have to change my opinion on the whole matter. If completely non-partisans like yourselves think Jack is right, maybe there is something to it.
