It's a bummer because @HereticBD is smarter than that, I think. But it appears that hostile partisanship has hijacked his brain and deleted his ability to reason in an objective way. There's no objective truth in Heretic's model. Some people are accusing people of some things and other people are accusing other people of some things and only partisanship and hypocrisy would lead one to believe that some of the charges are true and others are not. That's how the water-muddying game works.

But you're right. Anyone who looks at the facts in an objective way could never come to the conclusions he's coming too.
Man alive, watching @HereticBD get destroyed in the lounge is becoming a full time sport around here.
I hate the spin of "newly viral...industrial complex" and that it gives the race "plot points." The Townhalls are characterized throughout as "a fascinating set of TV show gewgaws." She frames the whole thing as a spectacle of continuity with the 2016 election, when at worst it's a somewhat selfless and low-ratings-getting attempt to get all the candidates out there for their viewers, imo. What do you think? I get the point, but I kind of like it. More issue-based news and discussion than you normally get. Maybe it's bad that that's the way to get away from horse-race or he-said/she-said crap, though.
I think the issue is the manufactured nature of the display, the hand selected audience, ditto the questions and the people who ask them. I agree it's better than 6 taking heads on a split screen all shouting at one another, but not by much.I hate the spin of "newly viral...industrial complex" and that it gives the race "plot points." Might as well just shut the country down now. Aside, in the article on the same site about the significance of Biden's polling surge, it's not looking good for Bernie if the article accurate. I'm going to call it now as coming down to Warren and Biden.
I'm not comfortable calling Warren finishing in the top 2 yet (but she's still my #1 choice), because she hasn't really made a comeback. I think she has the potential to get past Bernie later this year, as long as she stays on policy like she has been, with the fire she brings. She's even better rhetorically than he is. I think the stupid "controversies" of the last couple years hurt her, her gender hurts her, and she's more vulnerable to losing support over gaffes than most others.I think the issue is the manufactured nature of the display, the hand selected audience, ditto the questions and the people who ask them. I think Bernie is going to keep dropping in the polls if he chooses enfranchising convicts as the hill he wants to die on. Hopefully he can recover but he really hurt his chances pushing that line (not saying I agree or not because it's irrelevant.) I think Warren has the right stuff to keep climbing in the polls. The questions are a good mix of chin music and easier ones that allow them to elaborate. I'm not sure what people expect, other than being offended by the kinda shameless branding of "Town Hall" since it's not really a Town Hall setting. It's so much better in terms of communication of message/policy than a traditional, worthless large-crowd debate that I wouldn't try to make the comparison.
Social media and MSM made too big a deal out of prisoners voting imo. It's just not an important issue. Restoration after sentencing is an issue in many states, but even then, that's not where the conversation should be.I think Bernie is going to keep dropping in the polls if he chooses enfranchising convicts as the hill he wants to die on. I'm saying, according to the article on 538, almost no one agrees with giving the vote to people who are incarcerated. I believe that had a lot to do with his drop in the polls. I agree it's not that big of an issue, but at a time when people are looking for anything with which to hammer Sanders, or so it seems, Sanders totally failed to read the room on that one and I think it had a disproportionate impact because of the near universal lack of appeal for such a measure.Social media and MSM made too big a deal out of prisoners voting imo. He was in a bad spot there, though. How can he hedge his views on that? I don't think there's an acceptable way to tell the truth there. He should have emphasized restoration of rights, but that would have been a dodge.I'm saying, according to the article on 538, almost no one agrees with giving the vote to people who are incarcerated.
