I NEVER go to the UFC or Contenders forums, but I ventured there just now to see the scuttlebutt on Fedor.

I legit love the sincerely enthusiastic, even if geeky and unrealistic, fandom of Fedor. Guys talking about how he would beat Stipe and Overeem lol. I missed this.

It's nice to take a break from sherfront every once in a while.

Haha, yeah. It's just nice to see Fedor win and win in impressive fashion. As a longtime, it's hard to really understand, let alone explain, why he inspires such love from his base. I'm a fan of other athletes and fighters (Velasquez, Daniel Cormier, Nick Diaz, BJ), but I've never been anywhere near as invested in their careers as Fedor's. It's just weird knowing that, since I've been following him since I was a kid, when he retires so will my ability to get so childishly excited about a fighter.

I get it, I love watching him fight as well. Him and Cro Cop are still two guys I get super excited about. I don't care if they fight bums. Fedor is hands down the GOAT, nothing is going to change that for me.

There are no other nuts I would rather hug.

OH CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN!

I don't have the patience to make it through King James this lifetime. Not a knock on the translation, there are just so many other things on the list of lists.

You make it sound like a chore, it's my favourite translation. Admittedly just because the language has more gravitas. By comparison the King James makes other translations seem positively effeminate.
That said, I was started on the Good News. My second reader. We went from, "Billy bounces the big blue ball. Bounce Billy, Bounce." and straight to, "In the beginning, when God created the universe, the earth was formless and desolate. The raging ocean that covered everything was engulfed in total darkness, and the Spirit of God was moving over the water."

Really? What about that silly move with no body control by Sonnen that gave Fedor top position when Sonnen was firmly in control (or so it appeared). I admit my bias and it never crossed my mind until then, but that particular move looked calculated to let Fedor off the positional hook.

I must admit I thought Chael looked suspiciously sloppy. Then again, he's old and clearly more interested in talking than fighting these days (and possibly always was).

That's the beauty of life I suppose, for me, beyond some of the readings of the Psalms and other verses, it feels arduous because I am easily distracted by the bounce of the big blue ball. Perhaps too I tried to go through Jeremiah in King James and it wrought desolation in my low human will.

Also, patience, and a stable, structured mind though are not my greatest of virtues!

You're probably right though, maybe when there is some time I should try from Genesis on.

I haven't read much of other translations, but I've been through the KJV cover to cover. Leaving aside the religious element for just a moment, I found it to be beautiful and poetic.

I did it when I was only in my 20's and had the time. I know I wouldn't manage to get past the pentateuch now. If you can though, it's a rewarding read.

Something for everyone.

As Hunter might say, "Call on God, but row away from the rocks."

Please see my edit to that post.

Totally red.

I wouldn't be into religion at all, except for you know, miracles.

In the end kafir Jesus saves.

Gengis Khan may have conquered much, or Napolean

But Christ came into the world to save sinners, not to have lip service and inevitably worthless buildings.

Since race is such a hot-button topic in North America, Jesus came first to the Jewish people, and then

I'm already sad for the death that Ryan Bader is going to do Fedor's dome.

Of course I said the same thing when Bader fought Tito, so there's hope lol.
That fight is many years removed from this one. I'm sure that will make a difference.

Ye of little faith. Fedor's gonna touch Bader's chin and take the belt.
