Have you ever listened to Streetlight Manifesto? One of my all time favorite bands. They get lumped in with ska but they're a category all their own.
Every single person in the band is so talented. The drummer is getting it, that bassist is slippery as hell and that horn section is incredible. Live? Get outta here, that horn section is fucking explosive. Brass bands make you feel like you're going to explode, that music just gets inside your very being.
Also give this a listen.
House band at this place called Howling Wolf on Thursdays (well.. used to be.) they're amazing live.
Man the food in that joint was on point too. Like a pound of Jambalaya for $12, and those crawfish pies. Motherfuuuucker.
These are pretty good. The guy who trolls scam callers started making a program that will just reply back to scammers and keep them on the call. Looks like it isn't near perfect enough to do the job but this may be the funniest thing you could get for AI to do:
Edit: the funniest thing is the AI failing to interpret what the scammer said still kinda accomplishes the goal of wasting their time. It’s just a matter of figuring out how to prolong how long they’ll wait until giving up on the call.
Holy shit. That second video had me laughing out loud. Around 9 minutes+ is insane.
Also pretty interesting project. We will be working on a chatbot project for one of our call centers next year, this has been quite interesting.
Flol. Not judging but still lulzy@Falsedawn @Gregolian
I have an anime confession to make. As a kid I loved DBZ like a lot of kids from that era. I loved it so much that I would always tune in about five or so minutes early so as not to miss. The show right before was Sailor Moon so I'd always catch the tail end of it, usually a big dramatic fight scene with the monster of the week. After seeing it like one or two times I totally had a kid crush on Sailor Moon and I even thought Tuxedo Mask was kinda cool and of course the transformation sequences were awesome but I never had the guts to watch it because I was afraid of what my brothers would say since its clearly a girl show. I regret that now, feels like it would've been a fun show to watch at the time. Definitely a regret I'll carry to my grave.
I only mention this now because Google searching for "anime weed" brings up many great Sailor Moon gifs

No you don't understandEveryone's a critic
I've seen Streetlight Manifesto a few times. One of the bands I feel like were in town 2 or 3 times a year. Always a fun time, even if I never sat down for an album.
You ever listen to Thank You Scientist?
KEASBY NIGHTS WAS PERFECT. They also had years of bullshit thanks to Victory Records, to the point they were leaking their own albums for free.Toh Kay is a bum whos been living off the same album for 20 years.
I would leave it be but whenever I run into ska kids they tell me streetlight is the best and it really irritates me.
The closest I get to ska.
No you don't understand
I fucking HATE Phil Collins
Did he refuse to sign an 8x10 for you?No you don't understand

Haven't but going to now, digging it. I've been vibing on so much different shit. The most impressive shit I've heard in years might be Tank and the Bangas.
It takes about a minute and half to kind of figure where they're going with it but once you start seeing the transitions of genres and the poetry influence (She's an incredible poet) before the roar of the final few minutes is incredible.
Fun fact, that's the bar Andy Dick got KTFO in front of when he was here last time lol.
