It seems so, yes. I think his approval is estimated at about 60% currently. His first couple years in office, it was around 80%.
<Huh2>
He's hitting all the notes of social conservatism that might be presented by a theocratic regime (which, increasingly, seems to be want people most want) without any of the social democratic reforms to their neoliberal economy.

I don't know wtf progressives have to do to get the ropes on congressional leadership. Progressive House Dems (who, yes, do tend to come from more safely blue districts) cleaned up in 2020 while moderate Dems were slaughtered.

The idea that no message is a better campaign strategy than a potentially alienating message is so silly to me.

2022 midterms gonna be wild from the blue side imo

Is there anyone that's shown interest in the position you like?

I throw whole cloves of garlic in my stew and I love myself for doing it

I haven't seen anything on anyone other than Hakeem Jeffries (hard pass). I saw a very obscure blog post on Discourse advocate Sherrod Brown - who I, of course, think would be a great choice and is being woefully under-utilized - for the Senate leadership.

For the House, there are plenty of good candidate imo, but I have no idea who has expressed interest. It, unfortunately, almost has to be an older white person since a younger POC like AOC, Omar, etc. would automatically trigger dissent from shit kicking centrist Dems.

Brown on the Senate side is the easiest trigger pull there could be.

On the House side maybe Katie Porter could speak to both Centrists and progressives but she's kind of green politically like the Squad.

I haven't seen any mention of Sherrod for the spot, though. I mean, I really don't get it. There is no limit to the lack of common sense in congressional Democrats imo. It's not like Brown is some spring chicken, either. He probably retires within the decade.

Btw, great article on Brown from National Review in all its self-aware glory: https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/sherrod-brown-doesnt-want-to-go-to-work/

I like Porter, but I'm not sure she has the political acumen

HUGE IF TRUE
