The mother of a college student who died following a pancake eating competition has dropped her lawsuit against the school.

Caitlin Nelson, 20, died three days after choking during the charity fundraiser at Connecticut’s Sacred Heart University in 2017.

Her mother, Rosanne Nelson, had filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the university but withdrew it after a settlement was reached.

Ugh true.

She had burns through the muscle and bone of her thighs. That's fucking horrific. I've spilled fresh hot coffee on myself more times than I can count (I used to work in a cafe (no, I wasn't a barista)) and I never once got anything more than some minor red spots that healed in a day or so.

The kayfabe story is that @Broke Lester came into the league last year. He had a ridiculously low scoring team and yet won the league. Every week mysterious injuries would happen and he would some how win. We blamed this on him being a Canadian and using voodoo to cause injuries to his opponents.
I am now carrying that over to include covid. Here his fellow Canadian (you) has come in to the league and increased the voodoo power. Team Canada is using its power to cause havoc in the NFL with covid. So instead of just injuries every week, we have a league wide sickness. Please dont break Kayfabe in the future.

If it is a reasonable expectation that a university foresee the harm, why wouldn't the same apply to a participant? And suing the food company? For what, making a thick pancake?
