Like. I found it pretty infuriating to hear how that story had been manipulated to cast her in a bad light. Her burns were terrible and their original request was only to recover the cost of medical bills. That situation was very enlightening and made me a lot more wary of such anecdotes also.

Yeah, a lot of things deemed as "frivolous lawsuits" are on frivolous in the headline and conjecture. Frivolous lawsuits are rampant, but often the ones that make headlines are deemed as such without merit.

Y'all gave me a really good laugh. Thank you. It's probably possibly the main reason I come to the WR. The range of topics/styles/etc. in the humour really appeals to my cravings for variety.

Yeah, but at least that was before social media were much of a thing. Imagine now if, say, she or her son (I think that was the other person in the car) had a Twitter or Facebook account and the sorts of comments and shit they would have to deal with.
