You just reminded me of Earthquake attacking Hulk Hogan and hitting him with that ass-drop until he spit blood (because he needed time off to film Mr Mom or Suburban Commando or something) and I was screaming at my babysitter "He's killing him! He's killing him!" Completely inconsolable. I thought I was literally watching Hogan get murdered on a Saturday morning.

But yea our little feelings werent spared at all and its if we were treated as mini adults. But our gen is split. Those of us closer to x are like you and i but you get just a few years younger and everyone got a trophy and played indoors. The power rangers street shark kids had a much different experience with thier shows and toys. And yea dude watership down and the rats of nimh wouldnt get greenlit today either. Watership down was intense.

It just seems so odd that the media and culture now is the complete opposite of what it was. Did the Silent Generation, Boomers, and Gen Xers scrap like modern Xennial/Millenial/Z'ers before the 80's? Or is it even more divisive now?

I think theres always been generational bickering but i think at this moment in history is probably the most divise its been in quite some time.

I think us and our older siblings and our parents all have a lot more in common than someone who is 20 years old. Technology really changed and it changed the whole way people interact. Someones whos 20 never left the house without a parent being able to watch every move and was denied a lot of chances to act like a jerkoff and learn a hard lesson. Its not all bad though those kids are probably the death of racism for example due to how tech has exposed them to everyone.

Not the WR, I wouldn't think. Might be a couple picking high, too. But interesting to see the 35-60 grouping compared to say the rest of the forums. Boxing has some of us oldies, but I'd guess overall it's MUCH younger average in those other forums. Maybe not, but especially true for the heavies, I would wager on that.

@Gutter Chris It seems pretty bad now especially with the 'boomers' vs 'millennials', I remember Gen X and Boomers getting into disagreements, but nothing too serious. Thanksgiving-type arguments. I don't recall X vs Xennial/Millennials at all.

I respectfully disagree about the kids of today ending racism. If the definition of racism they're taught in school isn't "mistreatment of others based on race" like previous generations, they're not going to be able to do anything except cause it. I hope I'm wrong and you're right, though. Thanks for the info, too.
