War machine finds Christ

Praise Jesus.

Praise War Machine.

Peace be upon us.

And when there was only one set of footprints...

God forgives, the brotherhood doesn't.

Lord giveth and taketh away.

And War Machine spake the holy words and the veil was lifted.

Amen...

BSMMA 1:15

He fits right in with the religious: hes delusional, crazy, a danger to society, hasnt a clue about morality, a hypocrite, and worst of all still alive.

Wow, if War Machine really wrote that, then I'm a huge fan. The way he wrote it didn't sound watered down. Actually, he wrote a personal story about his personal experiences with his wife, his grandfather and questioned if there is an afterlife if life were to end right now.

I read Lee Strobel books and he's one of the most influential Christian authors, but at the same time, hes very low key. I'm very inspired by War Machine. His past is the past - steroids, porn industry, suicidal attempts. Everything is all planned by God and it's good to see him bounce back up, and not let his demons take his own life.

From a guy who's taken many blows to the head, both heads, he's not a bad guy at all. He spoke about his faith, admitted he was embarrassed about it, great inspiration and guts coming from the guy.

He is so a fucking bad guy. Holy shit. The guy tweets some shit about Jesus and you've already declared him a decent guy this early into his sentence?

Thank Jesus you aren't on the parole board.

Everyone's 'bad'. War Machine has done bad stuff in the past, doing it right now still. It doesn't take overnight to change someone. Of all the roads he's chosen, he chose Christ and that's not easy. People with a story like his decide to fix their own problems by themselves and it ends up becoming worse.

Did you read what he wrote? You're just judging him from his tweet and his past. What if you screwed up in the past, tried to change for the better and yet people still give you heat because of what you did? Yeah it's like that..

I guess this makes him not only an asshole but also an idiot.:icon_chee

Unless you're talking about a bunch of "born with sin" crap, then no, not everyone is bad. There are plenty of people who are good, and many many many times that amount who are at least "passable" and not a constant detriment to society like War Machine.

Also, it is VERY VERY EASY to choose Christ. That's why the lowest denomination of society constantly does so in prison. Furthermore, it is EXTRA EASY to choose Christ in prison, where there really aren't as many options competing for your attention as the outside world.

And yes, it IS like that. You're talking about how he "screwed up in the past" as though he is Morgan Freeman in the Shawshank Redemption, with this crap 50 years in the rear view mirror. He's been in prison (this time around) for what, a few months? This is his very recent past, and he has a history of declaring he's had an epiphany and turned shit around.

MMA turned his life around. True love with a porn star made him see the light and turn his life around. His last stint in prison made him never want to go back, so he turned his life around. He turned his life around so well that now he did a complete 360 and is right back in prison, where you have hour after hour in a tiny cell, a prison chaplain, a parole board that likes seeing people turn to the lord, and as many bibles in the prison as cell bars. Not hard to choose Jesus at all.

Yeah, it's like that.

Does he think the judge is going to buy this load of horse shit?

Wow.. U see kids, this is the definition of "The Wall of Text".

But how is he idiotic for speaking about his own personal experience to meet God? Only reason why I think you see him that way is that he's a fighter that got his brains bashed too many times, abused his life, and lived it notoriously..

The guy didn't start preaching and tell others to believe. He only mentioned how he came to know Christ. He didn't pull an old school Vitor, Bendo or Mark Munoz..it's like a testimony he shared and that's not an easy thing to do.

The guy tweets about hookers licking his asshole and whacking off in his prison cell. I don't think it takes an amazing amount of courage to talk about turning to Jesus, especially when it is in his own interests to convince the authorities that he has done so. What about this testimony do you think was difficult for him?

He didn't even take responsibility for beating up that porn star. He still states that she precipitated it by breaking his heart and doing whatever she did.

No one cares about Christ, especially on Sherdog. Sad but true.

Jesus seems to have his share of supporters on here, from what I've seen.

What proportion needs to be Christian in order to be satisfactory?

Does War Machine have a PR team on retainer while he's in jail?

I see a book coming to fruition. He will make a lot of money =]

I think you're looking at this a little too over dramatic. Yes, there are good people who do good things and it benefits the way we live this life. And then you have people like War Machine, went to jail and found Christ there. Well, he didn't put it that way..

Like the many other people who have come to know God, War Machine mentions that he read a plain simple book, and it's not the bible, and his curiosity came from his persona experiences and his memories with his grandfather. He did not come to Christ because someone in prison started preaching the gospel to him, or he was locked up in a cell, bored and mesmerized about what time it was..

He said it like it is, and there's no better way to put it. It's not like he started to tell others to believe in Christ too. No preaching from him whatsoever.

I'm inclined to disagree with the red part.
