War machine finds Christ

Jesus seems to have his share of supporters on here, from what I've seen.

What proportion needs to be Christian in order to be satisfactory?

There are some, but mostly when religion comes up in a thread, it gets mostly boos.

Was half rhetorical, and half explaining to timetotrain that his plight for Christ won't go over well here.

Wow, if War Machine really wrote that, then I'm a huge fan. The way he wrote it didn't sound watered down. Actually, he wrote a personal story about his personal experiences with his wife, his grandfather and questioned if there is an afterlife if life were to end right now.

I read Lee Strobel books and he's one of the most influential Christian authors, but at the same time, hes very low key. I'm very inspired by War Machine. His past is the past - steroids, porn industry, suicidal attempts. Everything is all planned by God and it's good to see him bounce back up, and not let his demons take his own life.

From a guy who's taken many blows to the head, both heads, he's not a bad guy at all. He spoke about his faith, admitted he was embarrassed about it, great inspiration and guts coming from the guy.

Suddenly proclaiming to be Christian to get potential favorable treatment does nothing to lessen the horrible act he committed.

Anyone who thinks so, I feel to be incredible immoral. I would would go as far to say morally bankrupt in respect to human dignity.

Once he's served his punishment and actually shows to be a good person in the real world again, is when people should start assessing if he has learned from the past and has actually become a better person.

Fair enough. If you end up being right about it all, you guys will have the last laugh.

War Machine presents some ridiclous flawed logic and terrible reasons for belief. What a surprise!

I agree with you. I don't think he's expecting favorable treatment and forgiveness from people because of his proclamation for Christ. I just think he shared his personal experience and that's it.

For what he's done in the past, yeah it is degrading to women, disrespectful and inhumane to morality and society. He was punished by the law and still probably is..for a long time..

For now and for here on, we'll see how he changes as a person.

didn't read all that, but a lot of these guys say they turn to God when he's all they have. I think the only time I've seen a sincere repentance was when the son of sam killer claimed to have turned to God and when they asked him if he should be let out, he said no he doesn't deserve freedom for what he did. He took responsibility. A lot of these fake repenters will say they've changed so they should be let out, which makes it seem like they use religion as a way to benefit themselves. Not sure what Warmachine's angle is.

You won't see many Christians with the name War Machine that's for sure.

Christ is probably very upset. I can't imagine War Machine was a guy he wanted to be found by.

Are you freaking serious? Because he "found Christ" you are going to ignore what he actually said? He said he was embarrassed about coming out as religious now, more so than about the fact he beat the everloving shit out of, tortured and intended to kill Christy Mack.

Everyone's 'bad'. War Machine has done bad stuff in the past, doing it right now still. It doesn't take overnight to change someone. Of all the roads he's chosen, he chose Christ and that's not easy. People with a story like his decide to fix their own problems by themselves and it ends up becoming worse.

Did you read what he wrote? You're just judging him from his tweet and his past. What if you screwed up in the past, tried to change for the better and yet people still give you heat because of what you did? Yeah it's like that..

You'd be getting what you deserved. Until you can SHOW that you are better, no one is going to ignore what you ACTUALLY did in favor of what you are saying you WOULD do now.
