Its only controlled right now because the number of sick is relatively low. IF and thats a big IF this gets out of control in the US and hospital systems become overrun expect something similar but with military and not private individuals. Hospitals have a certain amount of business every day from non-virus related emergencies. These Corona victims are overloading that system and people who need emergency help aren't getting it.
 
Number of infected should be 24,775 with 500 deaths. The US should see two cases today.

What makes you believe that the rate of infected people should be the same in US with the patients isolated than in China where they are everywhere?

BTW... not a single case in the whole latinamerica? That's crazy. #Buildthewall

Because there are infected people who aren't showing signs or symptoms. There are people who are quarantined at home who've had contact with people outside.

I’m slowing getting a little nervous about this. Probably a 4/10 which I classify as slight to moderate concern.

Exactly, I find people’s lack of concern very perplexing. This is going to get far worse than anyone is willing to admit. Asia as a whole really has an issue with overcrowding and this is how these viruses spread so fast, and they travel like nobody’s business to all areas of the globe. I think being prepared isn’t hyperbole at all.

Actually 64 is the number projected to have died yesterday. Today projection should be 83. Tomorrow 100
 
I think I am going to go out today and pick up some food and stuff to have just in case. If nothing comes of it, well I'll still eat the food regardless. If by chance shit does get crazy at least I won't have to go out in it and fight the panicked crowd.

Definitely not a bad idea if you tend to shop as you go. My wife is squirrel in that regard, if one can is missing she replaces it. My grandma always used to say emergency’s happen and you should always be able to go to bed knowing you might have to stay in house for a month.

I just got a report from a lady at work that there is a confirmed case in our local hospital in Southeast Ga. This was told to the lady I work with from someone who is a hospital employee.

So long as it’s just a person who came back from Wuhan in the last few weeks it’s not a big issue, if it’s someone who hasn’t left the US and caught it....

well, plague isn’t my preferred apocalypse- zombies would be so much more fun, but I guess it’s better than slowly rising seas forcing us closer and closer
