I think upconfront confidence, eye contact, and being able to talk is the key to getting attention. I've found being that making jokes, even at the expensive of yourself is a good thing. The ability to take the mickey out of yourself works! If you take yourself too seriously, chicks tend to think you're full of yourself and won't be interested.
