Not that it would make what you wrote any less dumb. People don't vote for one candidate or another based on a single issue, nor was anyone exactly clear what Trump would do. So the majority of Americans' wishes regarding Ukraine might be contradicted despite the majority of Americans electing Trump.

You can see that from a Pew survey taken after the election. The majority of Americans believe the US has a responsibility to help Ukraine defend itself against invasion. The combination of those that believed Biden's administration was either doing the right amount or not enough cumulatively outnumbers those who believe Biden was doing too much:
