Are they as good as the men?
Better, if you go by how much money the team has made for US soccer.
Are they as good as the men?
How so? The women are the best at women. The men are not any good. Also, Soccer is a women's sport. One team has a profit the other doesn't, now who should be paid more??? You business?
This is a joke. The women should be paid 5X more than the men. When the world up comes around people are glued to the screen to watch the women. The man are lucky to make the world cup every year

If that's happening now, that will be reflected on the next contract the players negotiate. To be honest being as good is not the real problem. They don't bring in the free cash flow. If they brought in the same unincumbered money they would have higher pay.
I don't blame them. The US men's soccer team sucks while the women's is probably the best in the world. I'm willing to bet more Americans watch the women play. 'Murica likes a winner.
the article says they brought in 20 million more than the men last, year but got paid 4x less.
what am i missing here?
it should be a sliding scale based on what you produce.

I'm no economics person. So what is the truth here in your opinion?Going back and reading the thread it looks like I spoke too soon.
The only way I think this works out for them is if the have a base pay and a revenue based bonus scheme at the end.
lol no
Not even close

For market principles, it shouldn't be about how good they are when it comes to getting paid, it should be how much money they generate.
Why no? The most watched soccer game ever in the US was the last womens world cup final.
I came into the thread to ask this question. Does anyone know the answer?
It's one page back. Revenue before sponsorship was greater for men than women the last four years total.I came into the thread to ask this question. Does anyone know the answer?
