work visa’s are there for jobs we want to make sure go to Americans first. Big important jobs. A couple of kids trading menial labor for food, a place to crash, or cash is very literally harmless and not at all what the rule is meant for.

But that’s the crux of the whole deportation thing. Trump is using a dusty old law from 100+ years ago to do it.

@Rob Battisti should determine what he truly prioritizes as important, operate on that basis in uncompromising fashion, and leave the miscellaneous third-tier shit alone. Like, for me that would be: preserving American liberty (constitutional rights), promoting domestic industry (agriculture, energy, manufacturing), and protecting public lands (national parks, forests, wilderness areas) with additional emphasis placed on national defense and homeland security. I could drop a half-dozen examples from my post history within the last couple months that, when stacked next to each other, would make it impossible to discern which side, tribe, or party I'm affiliated with. It's hard to swallow for people, but I literally do not have one. It is reality, and that's why you don't get the same sense.

I stopped traveling to America after 9/11. The airports have been terrible ever since. Generally it's better to spend money in your own community anyways.

Pretty funny. I lean right on more issues than not (though absolutely not all issues) but am anti MAGA...someone trying to hang that on Deorum is so stupid. Dude cares about environmental protection more than maybe anyone on this forum cares about any one issue. Thinking that would allow him to carry water for the MAGA crew in any way...WTF. Not gonna speak for him and say he's a single issue voter necessarily but just read his posts--he has a passion for the wilderness that's honestly enviable. I like the outdoors but could never get to that level...but it's awesome that he does.

I do that. But, unfortunately, no party has the same values as I do on major issues.

Yeah, I am a massive public lands and outdoor recreation advocate. As a sub-category of natural resources, I believe they are the single greatest thing about the country aside from the Constitution itself. The feeling is further bolstered by America possessing extraordinary natural features and wilderness that is unique in the world, certainly where sheer diversity and variety of landscapes are concerned.

If you had to put a label on it, I'd say definitely more conservationist than necessarily environmentalist. Like TR, I am not opposed to industry or the utilization of natural resources (far from it), but I believe in sensible regulations that restrict reckless wanton destruction that wipes out critical wildlife habitat and poses threats to human health. There is a balance to be struck based on assessment of a site's natural aesthetic, geological, and ecological values. For example, the Permian Basin is not the Grand Canyon; I'm all for oil and gas drilling on the former and violently opposed to uranium mining in the latter. The reason why is quite obvious on its face.

At least your biggest issue has the majority of the country agreeing with you. My biggest issue(money) is basically a non-issue to everyone due to them being either ignorant or defeated.

Hell, even I’m defeated in the issue. Instead, I’m just doing my best to become financially free ASAP to escape the madness.
