I've never crossed paths with Umar, but the excuses don't show signs that he's taking the loss well. I still think he can be champ some day -- it was a very close fight in my opinion. I had it 48-47 Merab and I don't feel that the 5th round was a landslide.

That's the most dominant position a grappler can be in, can't be stood up and add to that Volk is a master at blocking chokes
However, Volk did dominate at the end of the fight but it was a 5 rounder and the fight ended so .....

You dont interfere when a fighter is in a dominant position, its up to the fighter to escape
Lay and pray in guard is a different story, or wall and stall
