Rd 1 - Zabit circles the outside, shoots a takedown, gets stuffed, lands a few jabs/leg kicks and circles away. Rinse and repeat. 10-9 Zabit
Rd 2 - Zombie starts to work Zabit's body, but Zabit narrowly edges the round with a few flashy tornado kicks and lots of jabbing. 10-9 Zabit
Rd 3 - Zabit starts to slow down drastically, Zombie marches him down, starts to find his way around Zabit's jab and lights him up to the body and head with hooks. Zabit is hurt but survives the round by feinting takedowns and running away. 10-9 Zombie

29-28 Zabit in a fight where he clearly would've been finished if it were a 5 rounder

Sadly this is very possible. But KZ might just KTFO Zabit in first round.

Because his highest ranked win is over Jeremy Stephens. Kattar has potential, but as it stands right now he's ranked #11. Zabit has a tendency to fade, he gassed fighting a bum like Bochniak.

He is very close. Volk went 7-0 in the UFC, and 20-1 overall with a 17 fight win streak to get his shot. The last of those wins over Aldo, a bigger win than any of Zabits. A win first over KZ getting him a title shot next would be completely fair in my opinion.

He's yet to have a 5 round fight and has gassed repeatedly in the 3rd round of 3 round fights. If he beats KZ, which he might likely by decision if he wins, he could well get a title shot but Volk would destroy him in the latter rounds. Can you imagine Zabit trying to keep up with Volk in the championship rounds, he'd get picked apart.
