It's a good signing for business. Okami wins they can build a division of a former UFC fighter which will get them attention, or he loses which makes one of their guys into a bigger name. Either way the promotion gets more attention by having a ranked fighter.

why do people act like fighters getting cut is a punishment for performance? Fighting is a business cuts are business moves, it doesnt matter if you win or lose if the UFC thinks they can make money off you they keep you, if they think they cant they release you, its pretty simple.
