UFC releases Yushin Okami

So what's going to happen with the guys who lost to Okami that are currently still on the UFC's roster ?

Their futures are looking a tad bleak.

I'm sad for Okami... but I like that UFC is getting rid of boring wrestlers.

Their goal should be: FINISHING fights, not winning fights by any fucking boring method.

their goal should be winning

their health+winning>brain damage and losing

If he is on a card that is close to a UFC card I will buy the Okami card, I will talk with my wallet.

Cutting a guy coming off 1 loss-Overeem coming off 2 KOs

There is a lot of more bullshit that will come out of Dana.

Just when you thought this was bullshit of the year, Dana will manage to find something new.

While his lay and pray win over Lombard made him lose me as a fan, getting cut after 1 loss is pretty harsh, specially for one of UFCs main Japanese fighters.

This is stupid. How do you market Jacare now? His best win is someone who isn't in the UFC anymore

Pretty shitty move. I wasn't a fan, but I do believe the UFC should do everything in their power to hold on to top fighters since they do market themselves as the premiere MMA event.

Oh well, he will probably be back on the roster the next time the UFC fights in Japan

Good Bye Yushin. I don't agree with this , at the very least he was still a good litmus test for up and coming MWs

On the plus side, we won't be seeing any more "Worst cut in UFC history?" threads.

There are better candidates for the axe.

This one's a little odd.

I don't see why anyone cares.

He will never challenge for the title and produces boring fights. There is no point in keeping him around; he can't become champion but he might derail a contender with a boring, close, split decision hug fest. Not only that, he probably costs a lot of money since he has been around a while with a decent record.

Agreed 100%.

If they need to remove him to make way for more exciting guys with more potential, more power to them. I certainly won't miss the guy.

lol at the people calling him too expensive. Man made chump change for a top 10 fighter.

Ridiculous.

I can think of three possible reasons very quickly:

1. It sets a troubling precedent.
2. The premise of the organization is to house the elite fighters, of which he is one.
3. Some people enjoy watching him fight, and their opinion is as valid as yours.
