Never seen a gamrot fight. Don't think ive been missing out on much.

Don’t end the round being mounted or flattened out. And it’s not like a lot happened on the feet in round 1.

He got busted up bad and outstruck for 4 minutes in the first round. He was already cut at the end.
If the catch-all to winning a round is simply stealing the last minute with ground control, then damage does in fact not matter.

I wish more of y'all trained mma and had some real experience. When you give up your back , get fully mounted or get a body lock triangle put on you, you're fucked.. The only reason you think those aren't dominant positions during some UFC fights is because your witnessing DEFENSE from the world's greatest fighters. You don't get points for defense and judges will score a threat to finish the fight appropriately, as you just witnessed.

I'm don't really care who won but when the number 1 scoring criteria is damage it's hard to award the fight to the guy that barely threw a punch and inflict any damage while getting roughed up and touched up on the feet
