So is Asakura any good.. Lot's of asian fighters come in and never seem to live up to the hype.

Kai is a finisher. Had a win over Gooch when he was at his best about 5 years ago (1st round tko) but lost to Kape couple fights after by TKO. Lost rematch vs Gooch vs 1st round KO end of 2020. Think he's gotten better all around since then as a fighter (ironically he had a few decisions after lol) but ended last year by finishing Juan Archuleta.

At least Kai is one of the Japanese fighters that made it over in the prime of his athletic career (or what normally is).
