PBP UFC 239: Jones vs. Santos - Main Card PBP Discussion - 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT

Sorry did I post MMA math somewhere?
No I did and then immediately said it was silly. It's just impressive Santos was so wild he got dropped by Branch rushing in like he used to. And he just went 5 rounds with Jones. Also we are good man. I don't get into arguments on sherdog like that. You think the first was a tie thats your opinion. He did have forward pressure.

Here’s my scoring:
Round 1: Fans lose
Round 2: Fans lose
Round 3: Fans lose
Round 4: Fans lose
Round 5: Fans lose

His mouthpiece came out from getting punched in the face. I don't know what to tell you. Split decision and still. There ya go man take that strange ass win.

that wasn't a clean shot, that was a swipe, not only that, he was rollin with that swipe mayweather style, watch the replay

Even though I dislike Jones, at the end of the day you have to beat (finish) the champion. Can't expect a decision win.

He has great defense but I don't see the Mayweather comparison at all. Also this is MMA not boxing so comparisons are difficult to make.

then it doesn't matter if he's a she or she's a he than does it? lol

dude, with all due respect, go eat a bag of dicks. Honestly, you're making an issue of something that isn't an issue to the person who the conversation is directed towards. lol mind your own business, not everyone needs saving captain.

you're missing the point, HWs have weaknesses, i'm not denying this, BUT in order to take advantage of their weaknesses Jones has to SURVIVE 2 ENTIRE ROUNDS. you don't think Stipe or Ngannou aren't eventually going to come after him and let the hands go on him? if they do that, i personally don't think Jones can handle the power.

but it's just my opinion.

If Jones were to move up to HW he would load up and get to probably around 250 lbs. Now that might compromise his movement but he wouldn't be foolish enough to fight as a 225 lbs fighter.

Masvidal on the follow up shots "It was super necessary" <mma3>

I respect your opinion so will have to watch it again.
Fair enough. It was reported during the live broadcast that Santos out landed Jones 11 to 7 in significant strikes that round and going by the eye test that most of us had, it looked like he landed the harder, cleaner shots. The stats linked on the UFC's website are still saying the same thing too. According to the live stats of round 1 reported on MMA Weekly, Santos edged Jones 13 to 6 in significant strikes in that round. Take it with a grain of salt, I guess. Better stats from different sources will probably come out in the upcoming days...

Excuse me this soda is flattened?

Was anybody else watching this event at The Star casino in Sydney?
The PPV feed scrambled for approximately 10 seconds right at the start of the Askren Masvidal fight.
When the feed returned we saw Askren KOed on the ground, and didn't know what happened until the first replay.
It was like prime WWF Undertaker had struck.

I would just like to thank the streamers for providing another solid hook up

This card was disappointing for me on so many levels
