UFC 234 is pure garbage

Looks like a standard Bellator card. Good main and co main then all Who The Fuck Is That Guy fights

First PPV of the year and of the ESPN era.

The ESPN portion of the show will bomb in the ratings.

Fighters on Fight Pass will have even less exposure than before.

And there are four <FookIsThatGuy> on the main card (legit main and co-main but that's it).

Unbelievable!

MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view, 10 p.m. ET)
  • Robert Whittaker vs. Kelvin Gastelum – for middleweight title
  • Israel Adesanya vs. Anderson Silva
  • Ricky Simon vs. Rani Yahya
  • “Maestro” Dong Hyun Kim vs. Devonte Smith
  • Jim Crute vs. Ryan Spann
PRELIMINARY CARD (ESPN, 8 p.m. ET)
  • Austin Arnett vs. Shane Young
  • Montana De La Rosa vs. Nadia Kassem
  • Kai Kara-France vs. Raulian Paiva
  • Teruto Ishihara vs. Kyung Ho Kang
PRELIMINARY CARD (UFC Fight Pass, 6:30 p.m. ET)
  • Marcos Rosa vs. Lando Vannata
  • Alex Gorgees vs. Jalin Turner
  • Wuliji Buren vs. Jonathan Martinez

UFC tends to throw random shit and hope it sticks. That's why their ppv cards crumble if anything happens to the main or co main event.

silva being on it is worth the price alone.

Yeah who the fuck are these guys. The main event is legit but even the co-main is questionable. Not worthy of co-main IMO. Rest is pure shit but definitely could be good fights but those are no names.
Anderson Silva vs Israel Adesanya is not worthy of being a co-main?

Are you mental?
<{cruzshake}>

I guess anderson fighting is supposed to be a big deal. His run may have been as impressive as fedors to some, but even though they have both fallen about equally, I still get more excited for fedora.

If Silva was paired with a bunch of cans maybe that would be more exciting too

the main and co main are bangers but the rest is hot trash, worse than i thought

def skipping the rest of it until like midnight when the co main begins

That’s a pretty pathetic main card. And I’m usually the optimist. Australia getting done dirty.
Maestro Kim or Lil Dong is a just bleed fighter so at least you’ll get your money’s worth with that fight, but that should be a Ppv opener at best.

It's basically just a regional level card with a ppv worth headline stamped on. This one is exceptionally bad, though.

I'm not even sure some of the Aussies and Kiwis know who some of these "local" fighters are.

Nadia Kassem - https://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Nadia-Kassem-214579
Wuliji Buren - https://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Wuliji-Buren-160545
"Sugar" Shane Young (Really? Suger?)- https://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Shane-Young-84215
Kai-Kara France - https://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Kai-KaraFrance-73692
Jim Crute - https://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Jim-Crute-218959
Alex Gorgees "George" - https://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Alex-Gorgees-222785

Out of those, I've heard of Crute and France.

UFC is signing Rizin castoffs now, and putting them on ESPN.

ESPN is getting boned.

I've learn that names don't always make fights, but complete nobodies don't as well.

There needs to be a balance and this card is more so balanced on the side of a decent card.

Nobody going to mention Vannatas opponent?

Fine,I will.

Marcos Rosa. 0-0, ZERO AMATEUR FIGHTS, ZERO MMA FIGHTS, 0-1 boxing record, 34yrs old.

Anyone care to look into this?

Biggest mismatch in UFC history. Like, this seems bush league shit. UFC taking 0-0 nobodies now as well as 0-0 famous people?

Interesting names/fights for me ^
(hardcore fan)

7 out of 12 fights I am interested in

That's about 5.5/10 card for me

Great for a Fight Night, not good for a PPV show

Name value its fucking trash tbh.

Main and Co main are good.

Israel VS Silva I still eh.

Old man VS young kid lmao

No wonder they put it in a 18k stadium and not the MCG where they did Ronda VS Holm.

But 235 is looking like it could be card of the year so fuck it it'll more than make up for it. Plus you get The Spider
