Yes, the UFC clearly is banking on viewers to buy two major fights and filler. Of course, nobody can say in advance how good any of those fights will turn out to be, but the cumulative name recognition is far below the average PPV's.

I agree. The UFC are banking that Whittaker/Gastelum and Silva/Adesanya can sell the whole PPV themselves. If they're right, it could still do 300-400k. While they are basically ripping off their fans by not adding a 3rd marquee matchup, it makes sense for them to hold back meaningful fights to fill up later cards.
