Usually completely avoid fights like the bisping gsp ones but definitely on bisping medium stake now. Like bisping to stuff the takedowns and certainly not a KO threat from gsp and the lay off....
Respect my fren. Hopefully you garner the courage to have a high stake closer to fight time. Let's all get this easy cash.

Don't have a play on GSP vs Bisping yet but the layoff and size are a concern for me. GSP before the layoff I'd definitely favour.

His striking has never been free flowing but his recent pad work etc looks robotic as hell. I definitely think GSP can get some takedowns but Bisping has cardio for days and it he can get up a few times I think he takes over. GSP is the kind of guy who could come back and look like there was no layoff if anyone could but it's still a big worry.

Bisping's son said his dad would win

Bet all your money on GSP.

With that said though I love that Roach will be in GSP's corner.

I think the exact opposite. Roach is incredibly overrated. And read earlier in the thread where GSPs mentor talks of those around him.

Also, GSPs striking actually seemed to digress late in his career while he worked with roach as he adopted a more boxing centric style and abandoned much of his karate style.

Watch GSPs training vids at 185. He is not a boxer. Not at all. He is way to stiff and rigid to be boxing with a larger more powerful more fluid boxer

Edit. You saw the vids. Glad you saw what I saw. I don't like the way he looks at 185

I think a sneaky good play on Bis/GSP is

Over 4.5 -140
Bisping TKO +320

I have a hard time seeing Georges get a knockout or submission on Bisping here. If GSP wins believe 80% > it will be a 5 round decision via jabs > jabs > jabs and blast double legs. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

However, while Bisping has notoriously been known as a pillow fisted Kickboxer throughout his protracted career with him repeatedly going to decisions; lately with the help of Jason Parillo he’s been sitting down on his punches and dropping people. It’s likely this fight hits the cards but Bisping’s newfound power in his striking makes you pull the trigger on the +320 TKO prop for a hedge.

So, GSP likely wins by DEC so I see it as a good hedge and you can make money off both. Meanwhile you might put a flier on Bisping r3 and r4 in case GSP’s cardio isn’t up to par.

Nevertheless, I see this as a five round fight where I’m leaning towards Bisping as the victor; but it could be that GSP can still hit that blast double like old times and control him to a decision. In fact, Bisping said the reason GSP picked him is because he used to be able to out wrestle him and practice. I remember when GSP used to train with Rashad as his main sparring partner at Jackson’s and Rashad would openly admit to getting out wrestled by GSP in practice. So..?

Respect for this post man.

Roach is hardly a fraud, not going into that in an MMA thread but that accusation usually comes from people who can only name Pac as a boxer he's trained.

Anyway, I'm not saying GSP would be wise to try outbox Bisping by any means but at some point he's going to have to and having Roach advise you about your boxing and what you're doing right/wrong is a positive to me (yes I know this is MMA and not boxing), regardless of anyone else's view on Roach.

But like I said, he's obviously not going to be looking to trade in the pocket all night but he's not going to be landing takedowns at will so there will be numerous times he has to trade.

Yeah he does look robotic as hell, like I said, no play for me as of yet but I'd take Bisping.

Just stating some points from each side, too many on here and so set on one side they can't say anything positive about the other fighter or even accept a valid counter argument etc.

I personally don't think Roach is overrated but I agree from the footage we can see he does look poor on the pads and generally slow.

This is the same BangBros that looked to never wrestle in his life previous to that

Regardless I still believe he runs through Johny Hendricks.

Lots of fighters can’t wrestle or never have tried and surprise there opponent.

Yea, Roach isn’t a fraud lol. He’s been coaching champs for years. I’m not going through it either but yea..

Can’t believe Bet365 has GSP as the favourite!

Okay that was 20/30 minutes ago, they’re now the same price.
