Took time off because I was fighting back to back, learn new skills, last fight I over looked Belal Muhammad, even in the fight, I made a mistake, didn't take him seriously, I'm young in the game, I've trained with Gall, we're friends in the past, he's tough, people underestimate his ground game, but this isn't a grappling match, he's 4-0 in the UFC, his mindset is good, but skillset, when things don't go his way, he'll break, training alot of grappling at Renzos, alot of strikers in my camp, so just wrestling, wrestling, wrestling and grappling, grappling, anti-BJJ, I'm going to show I'm complete, I'm a brown belt, I want to humble this kid, I play alot of videos game, on twitch

I've have alot of time since my last fight, I've put in alot of work, I will f*ck up Randy Brown, I train all the time, I'm young, 6 months for me, is like a year for alot of guys, can't wait to show it, I'm staying at 170, I'm back, I'm excited, I'm an even better version, I've trained with Brown, nice guy, good guy, he was a friend, I'd never fight him, last year, but he put my name to Dana White, I was happy, because I like the fight alot, I had my way with him in grappling, my strength, his strength is striking, he did me a favour, he probably thinks he can beat me, I haven't had to show my striking yet, there's so much I can do, I'll drop him and strangle him, I will steal the show, beat his kid up, he has alot of holes, he doesn't perform, numerous holes, I've watch his fights, I wish him the best in the future, but he's going down, I'm doing everything right, have a nutritionist, training hard, deep at Tri Star, training dark, I work hard, I don't think anyone does what I do, I would f*ck up Kevin Lee (this was said before the Tony fight), MSG is my backyard, I'm a Jersey kid, friends, family coming, I like it when guys train hard with me, I love being compared to Rory, jokes about fighting for the Dana White Looking for a fight belt

We're both dangerous in the same areas, I'm always confident, confident in my skillset, making improvements, sparring with Mandel Nallo, last camp was difficult, I got sick, I was under eating, using Lockhart now

After win was back training 2 days later, he asked for this fight, I wanted top 15, but this is the next best thing, the top 15 guys don't want to take fights, so they are matching us up, I'm better everywhere, he's a pressure boxer, I'm a counter volume puncher, BJJ is better, his wrestling isn't a threat, it will be a striking battle, I haven't shot on anybody, also with Lockhart, always looking for the finish, if he gives me his neck, I've call out everybody, but they don't reply, Dunham turned down the fight, I wanted to fight in August, so trained all summer

Excited to be on a card with GSP, jitters, so I gave my debut 7 out of 10, I usually finish, I learned alot last fight, I was ready to fight in July, UFC put me on a big card, I'm grateful, I'm going to finish, I've watch all his fights, he's a grappler, I have guys mimicking him, Ryan Hall came in to help, using Lockhart, never missed weight, 2nd round KO or sub, play video games to get my mind off everything

Fighting runs in my blood, in fighting you pace yourself, I'm here to entertain, he'll stay defensive, he won't throw down, like how he fought Rory, it's up to me to make it a fight, I will go through pain to get the victory

I have 3 kids, didn't have power during the hurricane in Miami, the loss broke me mentally, no one has hold me down like that, I made mistakes early, I was thinking too much about defense, called Wonderboy because he's the #1 contender, he will get on his bike, I have tricks, I'm a fighter, I will have to get in his face, when another polished striker, is not going to take a step back, not point fight, it will ugly, because he will he have to fight in all the ranges, chest to chest, put him on his head for 15 minutes, I will get all up in that ass, guys that fight him aren't pressuring him, I will stop him and bad, like the Cerrone fight

Did some modeling, analyst on Fox, do it when I don't have fights coming up, he's tough, he finished Cerrone, I can't let him take my spot, he tried to get this fight while I was injured, but I'd love to fight him, so it happened, put on a show, he comes forward, it has fireworks all over it, he outworks people with cardio, he's not a biger 170, has a good clinch, knees elbows, he'll try to take me down, I've been alot on my wrestling and BJJ, I don't like getting hit, I love it when guys come forward, when guys press forward I can use my kicks and angles

better off middling the dec props on both fighters than playing the -180

Not really. You'd win significantly less if WB wins the decision and slightly more if Masvidal wins the decision vs just playing the fight goes the distance line. Plus, you're risking losing both if the fight ends in a draw.

you can play the draw at +7500, probably +10000 if you have access to an exchange, not even a monetary factor when hedging at one percent

if you proportionately middle the decision props you come out ahead of a -188

edit

didnt factor in my orignal bet. long weekend and brainfart monday

So far I think the best play while the car was Paulo Borrachinha — at -145 where I got him — as I think is going to run for Johny like a red-hot hatchet through a freshly picked Brazilian papaya. Right now Borrachinha is around -210 and I still believe that holds value since I see him at least -375 at the worst.

I mean, Johny is coming in off a terrible knockout loss to Tim Boetsch who hits why your five-year-old sister in comparison to Borrachinha. Nevertheless, Boetsch put “Bigg Pigg” out with a HHK after getting the better of him on the feet before that. While their striking stats were quantitively similar in numbers, it was the quality and power of a true MW in Boetsch that was making the difference. Whenever Johny would land on Timmy it barely registered; however, anytime that Tim landed clean shots on Johny you could see the percussions of it run through his entire body.

Quite simply, Hendricks should not be fighting at 185 pounds at all. I mean, he wrestled at 165 pounds in college and is a man who has a LW frame fighting at MW because he ate himself out of the 170 lb. WW division. i.e. The Bigg Rigg Goldilocks zone. Now he’s forced to fight at 185 lbs. which is simply not sustainable for his frame. Just like when Kelvin and Chris Weidman, there will be a massive size differential and evidence why there are weight classes.

What’s most impressive about Borrachinha is that even before coming to the UFC he wasn’t being up on a bunch of butchers, bakers and candlestick makers on the Brazilian regional circuit. Instead, the last three opponents prior to entering the UFC had an overall record of 25-3 when he faced them. And he dusted them all inside the first round.

I just don’t see this lasting long at all to be honest. The best play is probably Borrachinha by TKO as I just don’t see Johnny being able to take his shots. Borrachinha is a monstrous 6 foot tall Brazilian comic book character with a diverse offensive attack. He has a nuanced striking attack and solid TDD to remain vertical. Not only is he sculpted like a Greek Adonis but he is a plus athlete to boot. He has quick hands and reflexes to buttress his mortar fire powered striking.

Moreover, Borrachinha was able to pick up some valuable experience regarding his cardio on TUF 3 Brazil in a SD loss to Marcio Alexandre Jr. In the first round Borrachinha came out looking to truck Alexandre and when he was unable to get the quick finish, he had nothing left in rounds two and three. Fortunately for Borrachinha this happened as a young 23 years old neophyte and now is able to understand the limitations of the physical body when it carries that much muscle. Now at 26 he is much more fundamentally sound and doesn’t empty the clip like a lot of brutes his size.

In fact, Borrachinha learning from this loss was best displayed when he fought Oluwale Bamgbose in his sophomore outing. Bamgbose came out like a house on fire and the Brazilian remained poised and let him empty the reservoir. After he weathered the early storm Borrachinha proceeded to dribble his foes head into the canvas in the second round when Bamgbose had nothing left in the tank.

So not only is Borrachinha a giant 185 pounds force of force of nature, but he is intelligent as well. He uses a technical striking game to conserve energy picks his shots carefully. Borrachinha puts his weight behind the shots that he wants to count.

Ultimately, there aren’t many paths to victory for Hendricks in this fight. First of all, Johny doesn’t carry the same power he had pre USADA and has been a complete shell of himself since the Robbie Lawler performance. He’s lost 4 of his last 5 fights and his only victory in this span was a tepid affair against a 40-year-old past his prime Hector Lombard. Further, the last time he scored a knockout was in 2011 against Martin Kampmann at UFC 158. What’s more, while most of us focus on how he’s looked recently, he hasn’t been doing too well for a while. In fact, he’s 3-6 of his last 9 fights with 0 KOs.

Even prior to that he had a couple of terrible split decision wins against Mike Pierce and Josh Koscheck with a loss vs. Rick story. Those were fighters who he couldn’t muscle around. The same was true when he thought Tim and it’s going to be even worse against Borrachinha I suspect

Stylistically this is one of the worst matchup he could possibly imagine and I believe he gets dusted early.

My fren, how do you have the time to type so much? Why do you type so much?

I am liking Mas over Wonderboy. If Mas starts pushing forward and makes it a bit ugly and gets aggressive I can see him getting the best of WB either by decision or finish.

Of course WB is always dangerous but he has looked tentative af lately.

EDIT: ^^ no doubt Borra is going to walk through Big Rig imo.

Borra way too unproven to back as a favorite imo.. first time he fights outside Brazil aswell

1. I work in a office at my business and make my own hours.

2. I don’t post a lot through the thread so when I do I try and post thorough breakdown to help anyone who is on the fence or possibly Bring something to light they hadn’t seen before. The post really isn’t as long as it seems it’s just the way that the forum is structured.

Indeed, if you would add up a lot of other people‘s posts in here who post multiple times, it would add up to mine but I just make a couple large ones. i.e. if you would add up just 4 or 5 of my boy @Card posts it would make my one post looks like the scribbling on a cocktail napkin. But like card I’m just trying to help people and the thread in my own way. Now, if you would add up all of Cards posts it will look thicker than a Manhattan phonebook. I for one appreciate what he does and for that matter what everyone else in here does.

3. Not sure why it bothers someone who just joined this thread. I would suspect this is a dupe account but I give the benefit of the doubt. However, sorry if it bothers you but I’ve been here since the inception of this thread and I’m trying to help the community. We all have our functions and this is my contribution. Again apologies if it bothers you. You can always put me on ignore if it does. I am well aware of my rambling at times as I get carried away LOL

Just remember last time you told me to quit typing so much I was telling you why Colby Covington would beat Demian Maia.

As awful as Hendricks has been looking lately, there has to be some concern that even a totally gassed Bamgbose was able to take Borra down, no?

Over 1.5 rounds is 1.9 which some of you may like if you think Jonny can get the takedown

I went to Jackson's because they know how I should fight (trained 4 fighters against me), wanted to give this camp a try first, the advice they gave Condit to fight me impressed me, he listened to them in the third round and won
