Considering Crooks was 20 when he tried assassinating Trump, it's not like the age of 17 was some long lost past time for him. Where he donated money is where his heart lies. Being a registered Republican in a closed-primary state can easily mean he was trying to vote in someone other than Trump.

A former clsssmate stated he was definitively on the conservative side of issues. Does a 15 dollar donation somehow make more compelling evidence than all of that? I don't think it's really obvious either way. He made one $15 donation to ActBlue in Jan 2021 IIRC, hard to know why he did so just like it's hard to know if his registration as a Republican was a sincere expression of party affiliation or pragmatic access to the only relevant primary.

Like I said earlier based on what his classmates said I think he was an anti-government libertarian who disliked both parties. He might've just as readily taken a shot at Biden had he come to Butler Pennsylvania.

Couldn't find info on it. Depending on the crime scene, investigators can gather all the evidence they need within a few days. Boelter was only in the house briefly and the whole confrontation took place on the first floor of the (I believe). Crime scene clean up crews come in after and then it's handed to the family put in charge of the estate. I can't believe it wouldn't be locked up tight right now though.
