Television TV Show Thread

Finished:
Squid Game Season 2---They struck Gold with this show. SO captivating. (Netflix)

Creature Commandos--2 Thumbs up, great style and action. (MAX)

The Breakthrough--Limited series in Swedish. Interesting, but dour in tone and no real excitement. Pure Drama. (Netflix)

The Head Season 3--I know this show has holes, but I like it. (MAX)

I'm towards the end of Season 2 of Invasion and the story is kinda whack. The stuff the Japanese girl does to get reactions from the alien intangible form, Casper suddenly waking from coma and no longer has super powers. I read there's a Season 3 coming. I noticed they seem to like to do close ups of the Japanese girl's face filling the entire screen. The kid who plays the bully is really annoying, especially when acting nice to try to steal Casper's GF or trying to get the kid sis to calm down via the stupid maze turn left turn right shit.

Teaser Trailer for SPARTACUS: HOUSE OF ASHUR; Premieres This Fall on Starz

S2 of Castlevania Nocturne premiered on Netflix today.

I think I'll watch Disclaimer on Apple TV+ next. Ep 1 was a bit hard to follow what may have been flashbacks, not knowing who's who.

Some Animation:
Castlevania Nocturne--So far so good. This series really is entertaining.

Thor-Twilight of The Gods--Interesting animation style, very artsy. Great action, plenty of nudity. Thor as a bad God is a new angle.

Watched the first three episodes of the new Mr Beast show. It's a pretty fun concept for the first couple of episodes but wears thin as a game show.

HOWEVER, it is absolutely fascinating as a study of mob mentality/mass psychosis.

early on, the players get an option to take $100k to be eliminated and take a group of literal strangers with them and very few take it.

At one point, four players are given the option to fuck their team over and get a million dollars AND get to stay in the running to win a futher 5 million and none of them take it. They've known their team mates for like a day at this point.

The peer pressure/social pressure really get to some people and it's very interesting to watch. It's very interesting to see how people form superficial attachments that feel real to them when put in a high pressure situation.

I won't be shocked to read that some people end up really fucked up from their experience on the show once they realize the opportunities they turned down for themselves and their families just because they didn't want to upset literal strangers.

Squid Game season 2 (5/10)

Slow, boring and a non-ending. I loved the first season but this ain't it. Completely unnecessary. They should have left it where it was. I see people giving it somewhat positive reviews and I have no clue what they're watching.

I think Disclaimer might be the first Apple TV+ show I watched with boobs shown. I guess they know what they need to do to boost subscriber numbers. Never knew the Ali G actor did serious roles.

Never would have guessed I'd see cartoon dong and boobs and beaver. Paused and will watch a bit more later.

I finally got around to starting Secret Level on Prime. About 5 episodes in and this shit is pretty good!! The last one I watched was the Warhammer 40k episode. I don't know anything about the game, but the episode was pretty dope. I am really looking forward to the Armored Core episode and the Outer World episode, both games I loved playing. Overall, I am really digging these anthology series.

Can't imagine watching hours of this animation.
On a scale of 1 to 10, and Arcane is 10, this is 1.

Yes it's that bad.

Finished Apple TV+ Disclaimer. Definitely worth watching not just because the younger actress is hot and buck naked, but the story presented one way which you take for fact.

Watched S1 and S2 and would watch S3.
I saw the trailer for S3 and thought it extremely cheesy how they used Drowning Pool's 'Bodies' in a very overbearing way.

Also, I've always hated this actress. She's very off-putting.

Let me guess. She plays an extremely manipulative mean girl and demasculates every man in every scene she's in, right?

Manipulative helpful but fails girl. Nutty girl. There's a chubby actress who looks a bit like Coby Smulders. She'd be mildly hot if skinnier. It goes back and forth between high school era and adult era. It's got some eerieness like Lost.
