hPOUFCBOVL AE BIOFRAIOGHAVhhhh at Chloe Sevigny being in Russian Doll. I can't stand her.

It's time to tell you about a fantastic TV series that aired back in 2017 that only a few (lucky) people saw. I'm talking about COUNTERPART Starring J.K. Simmons. This is one of the hidden gems. It's only 2 seasons long and the story ends on a satisfactory conclusion. It's a very grounded, cerebral sci-fi spy thriller with a great cast. It's part John le Carre, part Cronenberg.

Where can I stream it?

I used to crush on her when I was a teen after I saw Kids for the first time.
She does a great job as an actress of making you dislike her character. I loved the Bill Paxton HBO show she was in about a man having multiple wives called Big Love. It was really good but she was a fucking c word nightmare.

Has anyone seen What we do in the shadows? It's a comedy series about a a group of vampires living in the modern age. Basically a camera crew is granted access to them, so it's kinda like the office meets Vampires. I'm really picky about comedies, but I really like this.

There was a movie before this, as I just learned learned, but the show is more of a retelling I think?

As you probably noticed, it has the CEO from the IT crowd, my fav character from both shows, he's money

This guy's an energy vampire, perfectly cast

Its my favorite show that's on right now. There is a lot to like about it. Well written, well acted and well shot.

you're not kidding

I had no f*cking idea it was the same writer as The Favourite

the trailer is plain vanilla compared to 80% of the show, it's easily HBO-levels of fucked up and smart as hell

Looking forward to a second season.

I think the cast was the strongest element of the show (along with the wry humor). Fanning and Hoult were both great. Fox was ideal as Marial. Dhawan, Wakefield, Lee, de Souza, etc. all quality as well.

I think that Bromilow (who is the wife of the showrunner) as Peter's aunt and Godley as Archie were both standouts. Any time they were onscreen, they really commanded attention and projected both a humorous air and a sense of menace when called for.

This looks like a riot, lol.

Marcella season 3 is on Netflix if any of you are into Brit crime dramas. Planning on doing it all tomorrow.

No official release date yet. But I think it will be in July or August 2020.
@Loiosh Your favorite girl, Aya Cash (You're the Worst), is in season 2 as Stormfront.

According to Starr, Moriarty and Urban, Black Noir will play a much bigger role in season 2. Starr describes him as a, "fucking force(of nature)". In the teaser trailer, Noir cuts one guy's throat and smashes someone's head through a skylight. There's also a scene where it looks like he's tearing someone apart with his bare hands.
