Finally finished up “Defending Jacob”. After 8 weeks, I would have preferred the book ending. Especially after saying it wasn’t going to end anything like the book did. Was all set for Chris Evans being put on trial for killing the :eek::eek::eek:.

Don’t get me wrong. It was a superbly done series. It just flopped on the resolution.

I’ve had a bad run of shitty endings thus far.
Code 8
Defending Jacob
The Outsider
Extraction

About the only thing that has delivered was the Clone Wars finale.
I just finished it half an hour ago. Chris Evans deserves every possible award, I thought it was brilliant.

Spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen it, don't read.

I always want conclusions to unanswered questions but Lori tried to kill her and Jake? I know she was going mental. What a rollercoaster. I wanted the first 7 episodes in one day it was so good.

Watching DEFENDING JACOB and this is one of those adaptations that would have been better as a 2-hour movie rather than a mini series. I'm on episode 4 but this seems to be just an ordinary story with nothing that sets it apart from the rest of the countless cop/court dramas with a similar plot.

I'm no expert but I found it not believable that the police arrested Jacob and that the DA pressed charges based on one flimsy evidence which is a fingerprint found on the victim's clothes. Normally the authorities will press charges if they find the murder weapon but they couldn't even provide one.

I hear that there's a shocking twist at the end, so we'll see if that will elevate Defending Jacob. I already have my suspects on who actually killed the victim (I think it's the girl schoolmate that likes Jacob).

I watched this a few months back but couldn't remember the name. I thought it was Jade. :D

I enjoyed it. Very stylish and colorful. Plot is fairly basic but its a fun ride.

World-class thief Daisy "Jett" Kowalski is just out of prison and already being forced back into what got her there, by a group of eccentric and dangerous criminals.

It was the only evidence they had. I go nuts for criminal TV shows but of course he should have been brought it.

@Dragonlordxxxxx let me know when you've finished
Finished DEFENDING JACOB. I like the last episode because there was an air of uncertainty where they were going to take the story in. I kept having new theories/predictions every 7 minutes or so (which was a good thing). I like the ambiguity of the ending whether Jacob really did kill the kid and left it up to the viewers to decide. For me, I think Jacob did it due to the many evidence pointing towards him and no other credible suspects were presented.

I still believe that this was not worth 8 episodes and should have been a 2 hour movie instead (even then I thought it wouldn't be a really great movie).

I remember watching the first episode last year. I liked it and downloaded the episodes each week but forgot to watch it. I might revisit the series.

I watched better call saul season 1 found it ok abit of a slow burn. Does it get better?

Yehh sopranos and the wire were slightly before my time, when I was in school we were all into prison break, lost and heroes always wanted watch sopranos and the wire though 2 of the greats I've heard.

Sopranos is better than prison break, lost and heros so your in for a treat.

BATWOMAN Season 2 To Replace Ruby Rose’s Kate Kane With A New Character

mo4ia17.jpg

When The CW’s Batwoman returns for Season 2, it won’t be just losing star Ruby Rose who played the part of Kate Kane, it’ll be introducing an entirely new character as Batwoman, Decider has learned.

The news began to trickle out thanks to a leaked casting call looking for a character named “Ryan Wilder.” Described as a “female, Mid-late 20s, any ethnicity,” the part that raised fans eyebrows was the following sentence: “Ryan Wilder is about to become Batwoman.”

The description continued that, “She’s likable, messy, a little goofy and untamed. She’s also nothing like Kate Kane, the woman who wore the batsuit before her.” And though casting calls are known to create fake parts for auditions, the “Ryan Wilder” character will in fact be replacing Kate Kane as Batwoman in Season 2; and Kate Kane will not be recast.

Ruby Rose, who starred as Kate in Season 1, announced she would be leaving the series on May 19. The news was confirmed by Warner Bros., the production company behind the show, which said in a statement that, “[We] thank Ruby for her contributions to the success of our first season and wish her all the best. The studio and network are firmly committed to Batwoman’s second season and long-term future, and we — along with the show’s talented creative team — look forward to sharing its new direction, including the casting of a new lead actress and member of the LGBTQ community, in the coming months.”

As it turns out, though they are looking for a new lead actress, it’s not to take on the role of Bruce Wayne’s cousin Kate Kane. The casting call continues that, “With no one in her life to keep her on track, Ryan spent years as a drug-runner, dodging the GCPD and masking her pain with bad habits. A girl who would steal milk for an alley cat could also kill you with her bare hands, Ryan is the most dangerous type of fighter: highly skilled and wildly undisciplined. An out lesbian. Athletic. Raw. Passionate. Fallible. And very much not your stereotypical All-American hero.”

Ryan huh

Finished Giri Haji, and on the surface it’s shiny and brilliant, but becomes a bit mundane with somewhat of a existential/ semi -nihilistic ending. It’s a closure that felt unfulfilled.
Not anti climatic but I’m disappointed, for sure.

Had high hopes & sucked in at beginning... and further it went became less enthralling & more disillusioned like a Long downslope relationship.

Husband and I loved it. Even down to the grey pale blue camera filter. Yeah I think he did it based on his psych examination and that he went to school after and behaved completely normally whether he found the body or killed him. The story he posted online wasn't credible as evidence other than character because kids that age have fucked up imaginations....people our age do.

My theory was that Jacob was going to get off, then the guy who was following them around, Chris Evans had put one of his family members away for life when he didn't do it and he got murdered in jail so as retribution he shot Jacob and Lori on the court steps as they walked out...lol.

On like episode 7 of Legion. Pretty weird show and it's a little hard to know what's going on but I guess that's the point. I'm intrigued though for sure.

She’s also nothing like Katie Kane...reminds me of the kind of stuff that was being spouted at the Simpsons Poochie writing room.

So she’s proactive. Oh yes, we are talking a totally outrageous paradigm...

The Bat is dead. Bury it. Consider this mercy:rolleyes:

Latest rumour is that Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision will either be delayed yet again or the seasons will be split. We might get three episodes of both shows this year, and the balance in 2021.

There is supposed to be an official announcement next week.
