He'll try. The "Abundance Agenda" cretins are already calling for it, but I think he's made himself too toxic at this point (not to mention shown himself to be a snake).

Yes, because its a slow roll-out. What part of that don't you understand? A completely autonomous 2 ton hunk of metal can kill people so they are extremely cautious. For that reason, its incredibly stupid to compare it to Uber. On the contrary, Tesla throws caution to the wind and literally advertises its SAE level 2 (i.e. not fully self driving) system as "Full Self Driving" (which it is not). And the really, really dumb thing about this argument is that Telsa has been working on self-driving cars in some form for 11 years and is doing 0 driverless rides per day. And you're hyping up their robotaxis service that will launch in one city next week even though Elon says that it start off with about 10 cars.

And, no I'm not going to take what Elon says at face value because only an idiot would. If everything Elon said actually came to fruition then SpaceX would have launched a manned mission to mars last year.


And notice that he predicted that unmanned missions to Mars would start in 2018. It is 2025 and there have been no unmanned missions to Mars with no actual missions planned in the near future. Yet he keeps making predictions and you fanboys keep eating it up.

He's burnt that bridge to the point it would take something monumental for that to happen. He would need to come out with indisputable evidence that Trump rigged the election or something. (and no, I don't think that happened)

50,000 miles huh? Wayno has 56 million driverless miles logged. If you were capable of independent thought, you would have realized that the miles add up quickly when you're doing 250k trips a week and you would have been too embarrassed to post that. But you're just a social media parrot mindlessly reposting whatever the Tesla PR machine feeds you.

Well Xiaomi a fucking cellphone company just overtook Tesla as number 2 in the Chinese market.

That's kind of what happens after you delayed the long awaited economy car in favor of a "truck" that was a major flop and instead of saying "well i fucked up, lets hurry with the Tesla 2" he doubles down on betting all on a robotaxi service that its way behind Google's own side gig.

I can see him becoming the next Koch trying to redo the whole "fiscal hawk" thingie, but you kind of need to do that when a Dem is president for that to work.

Indeed, I predicted the same thing right after the election. If there is something going on with Vance and a plan to take Trump out via the 25th, though, I thought at that time they'd want to wait until after the mid-terms so Vance could have the opportunity to serve two full terms after that. Now, though, it looks like Trump is fucking everything up so badly, again IF there's actually any such conspiracy, they'd have to suspend the constitution altogether to stay in power beyond the end of the current term. At this point, they ought to have concluded that these circumstances favour riding into town like a white knight to fix the mess they helped create and paint themselves as heroes.
