Economy Trump vs. Musk

You just said a bunch of nothing. Its hilarious that you call people NPCs when its clear that you read Tesla fanboy blogs and believe everything Elon Musk tells you (like when he said you would be able to summon your Tesla parked in California to New York and it would make the cross country trip on its in own by 2018. Spoiler alert: Its 2025 and precisely 0 Teslas have been summoned to New York from California. Can't even summon one from across the street).

Lets stick with the facts. The SAE defines levels for how mature an autonomous driving platform is. The scale goes from level 0 (no autonomous features) to level 5 (fully autonomous). Waymo is at SAE level 4 and has been since around 2020. Tesla FSD is at SAE Level 2. Tesla is not even in second place. There are level 3 systems.

A company has to be licensed by the states to operate vehicles with no human driver. Waymo is licensed to operate in 5 states (Arizona, California, Texas, Florida, and Georgia) plus the District of Columbia. Tesla is licensed to operate in how many? I don't even know. I guess 1 since they claim to be launching robotaxis in Austin. And its interesting how they are only licensed in the state where SpaceX happens to be headquartered (surely the Texas state government wouldn't ignore safety concerns to appease Musk...that would never happen).

Tesla execs know they are behind. Only you fanboys think they are ahead. And technically, he's wrong because they are behind by more than "maybe a couple of years".
you're stupid, and I can't fix that.

this is like those folks that thought nokia/blackberry would be the dominant phone because of the physical buttons and market dominance....

waymo is trash, and if you lived in the areas where it's offered, you'd already know this.

I'll put this in the most layman NPC terms possible:

Even if Tesla did not exist, Waymo would fail. 250K rides a week is not even close needed for Waymo to become profitable, it's a pet project for google, and it's been 16 years, no profit, very little expantion.

now be ready to cry

Again, no facts. You can't back up anything you say. Its just idiotic absolute statements like "waymo is trash" with nothing to substantiate. Thats because the Tesla fanboys you follow haven't written your script yet. You aren't equipped to have original thoughts on this subject.

Waymo has 250k driverless (without a human) rides per week across the Phoenix, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Austin. They are running pilot programs in Atlanta now. They will expand to Atlanta, Miami, and DC in 2026. There strategy is to roll out gradually city by city. It has to be done that way for a number of reasons but most importantly to ensure safety (so a long period of testing is needed) and to comply with regulatory requirements (you can't just setup a robotaxis business whereever you want)

Lets look at what Elon said about Tesla's robotaxi roll-out:

“We want to deliberately take it slow,” Musk said. “I mean, we could start with 1,000 [robotaxis] 10,000 on day one, but I don’t think that would be prudent. So we will start with probably 10 for a week, then increase it to 20, 30, 40.”

In other words, a slow roll-out. The same thing you criticize Waymo for. Except Waymo has been doing this for 5 years already and has an exceptional safety record.

you think that waymo doing this for 5 to 15 years with ONLY 250K rides a week is some sort of winning number? Uber does 10's of MILLIONS A DAY. this does not include Lyft and international ride hailing alternatives. You do know that 250K waymo rides a week keeps them in the red right? don't let these pesky facts involved in your story

if you're going to be taking what elon says at face value, millions on the fleet by next year.

lol at director of FBI and his deputy - 2 of the worst cucks ever lmao
one disgraced himself on joe rogan podcast (btw what a mouthpiece rogan has become, dude is unwatchable), another on fox news

Indeed its a pet project for Google and yet for Tesla which is behind Google they literally went all in on that service to a point where they decided to cancel economy cars which as shown by Chinese competitors is a huge market.

You still parroting the BYD gonna kill tesla narrative, the same BYD that’s doing fraud to pump the numbers?

That must make Trudeau, Melania's bull. Trump holding his wife's hand while she is enthralled with a younger and much taller man. You can tell how Trump lowers his eyes to the ground and squeezing his wife's hand tightly, that this is not Trump's first time being put in the cuck chair.
You should see the photo of Barron next to Justin lol.

Nobody is saying it will kill Tesla, merely that Tesla growth has stagnated which is not good news considering how overleveraged its stock is.

Leon is the king of Vaporware.
His boring company promised a lot but so far has woefully undelivered.

Lol, it's not superior, lidar can see through fog and smoke. Lidar doesn't crash into a wall painted like a road Wile E Coyote style
Lidar is the future imo, they've really done well with it and the "bump" on top of the vehicle required is very small now , visual only is fine as drivers assist but I can't see it for autonomous driving .

I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a safety feature like airbags in ten years

I dunno, I just googled breitbart and musk, seems the mostly just reporter on what he was doing. Not necessarily praising him, but more his actions.

But they also had articles like this

Also a few articles about his trans child bashing him.

Was there a specific article you had in mind?
Good point.

I think they went crazy in the last year and mention every single thing he did for Trump. The readers ate that shit up.

No self-driving that only relies on cameras will ever be successful. Tesla is screwed cause it's been promising buyers FSD since like 2017.

China has the next best self driving systems, and they are moving away from lidar, 2D > lidar in the long run

you're dumb as rocks, just because the tech can map out in 3D space in theory doesnt mean it's better

vision vs Lidar in similar situations (lidar is hitting shit despite being able to see in 3D space)

Lol dumb as bricks in the wall the Tesla hit...

You Elon musk stans are a sad bunch of dorks

If you had a clue, you would have spotted the fake from Your own gif. There is a drawing of the foam that represents a big bang, one way or another, he was going to bang the wall for views.

He got caught with his pants down in his own thread.

The video is nothing shy of hollywood fakery. , raw stamps don’t match up, he’s got both hands on the steering wheel, Tesla’s FSD turns off with the slightest directional force, he speeded up before turning it on the last second, it wasn’t on when he hit the wall.

You’re quoting a fraudster and you don’t even know it

<Dany07>

Oh right, the exact point where he disengages Autopilot

I'm cracking up because you are taking mild criticism of musk to heart. Stay salty nerd lololol
