You are getting this mixed up with a trial, that comes later.

Here’s an analogy you might understand. Think of the Dems as the lead investigator and the Pubs as the junior investigator. The lead investigator directs the investigation and the junior investigator gets coffee and listens.

If the Dems want to fuck this all up and hang themselves they can because they are running the show. I can guarantee you if this falls apart these bitching crying Republicans will about face and change their tune that they had no part in this investigation blah blah blah.

On one side you have career officials undertaking their jobs with the utmost of professionalism, testifying under oath. On the other side you have a cadre of pilferers and political appointees that were campaign donors, and the WH refuses to let anyone testify or release any documentation when legally requested from the Congress.

this is what I don’t understand. I mean I can’t imagine killing for any politician but I would have fought hard for Obama before caving and I would probably fight for “my side” before eventually giving into the facts. These guys are willing to kill for Donald fuckin Trump. Literally one of the worst representatives of the human race I can think of. Ya’ll Republicans need to step up your games.

Well... in a way Obama did something similar with his "I'll have a lot more flexibility once I'm elected" message to Putin, and while everyone threw a fit, nobody impeached him. One could argue he and those under his direction spied on Trump's campaign and was "digging for dirt on a political opponent" and that he weaponized the DOJ. I guess we'll see if anything happens for any of that... so far it looks to me like not much ever happens to Dems....

Having said that, I realize I'm looking at this through my own lens. I try to be objective, and I'm open to the possibility he did something wrong, but so far I haven't seen anything impeachable, and quite frankly after the Mueller probe I'm highly distrustful of anything the left goes after him for. Lots of exaggerating and wishful thinking going on by a lot of elected officials and almost everyone in the media. You can't blame me for being skeptical. I think Trump's gotten shitty treatment compared to other Presidents and I think a lot of what's been done to him would have gotten a lot more pushback from the Media if it were happening to a Democrat.

This insane Civil War concept appears to be a meme floating around right wing talking point sites. I have a some die hard Trump neighbors and have been hearing these veiled threats for awhile.
