What Mulvaney is doing is getting ahead of the escaping news. The 'no quid pro' line is falling apart and evidence will be released to destroy it. Trump's team always tries to announce whatever is coming out before it comes out and just label it 'good' or 'normal'.



Don't worry. You will be saying 'it was a quid pro quo, but legal, get over it' soon enough.

No I disagree. Trumps path is very clear

- Lie and say you never did and call it fake news
- As facts start to trickle out switch to 'we never did it, but it would be fine if we did'
- as Trump is caught dead to rights with facts about to come out 'ok we did it, and it was legal and perfect to do'

Mulvaney's statement is just getting ahead of the inevitable. It will now be the new line on Fox, 'So what QPQ, they are done all the time, get over it'

All the trumpsters on this forum saying no QPQ the last few weeks will soon switch too.

Sure because then the New Agency or whoever who is communicating with that source gets held to account.

Its like the Whistle blower is an anonymous source. But they are tied to the IG who was the first one vouching for them. He was not just saying there is some unknown anonymous source. He is saying he has communicated with the source who will remain anonymous.

Very different than an article that has no source and the articles author or that publication is not standing behind it.

What can I do about it? I'm not President. Trump is the one that left them to die. We used their plight to limit the number of boots we had on the ground, and they fought so well we completed 90% of our objective, but an election nears and we need campaign promise points so you guys are on your own. And this also aligns with Russia's interests if it's as bad as Trump being under their influence.
