Social Trump to sign EO ending department of education today

I would usually be against decreasing investment in education but the kind of things they are teaching these days are appalling, so it's better to shut the whole thing down.

I honestly don’t know if this post is satire or not.

Sadly it will be the kids of parents who voted for trump who will have their schools defunded. Rich blue districts don't need federal grants.

Found it odd that the Dept of Agriculture is in charge of free school lunches

That’s an actual useful EO to impose you orange fuck

"Guys, I know our local school district is millions in the hole, but it's just not possible to tax rich people anymore money." - Local Leader funded by the local church.

This sums up about a fifth of the idiots in the War Room.

Whats the argument for not dismantling DOEducation? Not sure about all states but local property taxes fund most k-12 in my state. I don't really think DOE does a great job meeting their stated goals. We spent a 1/4 trillion dollars on DOE last year. Whats the net benefit? There are many schools where kids are not getting a quality education. Many schools are literally falling apart. Where is this money going?

What's the argument for DOGE not dismantling and restructuring the DEA with more efficiency?

- Billions of dollars wasted on cannabis enforcement when it should be reallocated to fentanyl
- Legal hemp loophole allows for the sale and consumption of unregulated and toxic gas station "weed" and mail order "marijuana"
- Kids are at risk, in many cases no ID enforcement
- Cartels and black market thriving
- People are dying because the "weed" they're consuming in states that are not recreational is not regulated, full of pesticides and toxins = increase in psychosis or hospital visits

WHERE IS ELON AND TRUMP?

Those are teacher salaries but doesn’t reflect what what schools are receiving or what students are paying. Teacher-student ratios and workloads in public schools are often unreasonable.
That's why I said per student spending. Average for private schools is $12,790 per student, average for public schools for 2021 was $14,347. DC is like $28,000 per student and they have the lowest literacy rates in the country.
