Social Trump threatens Bruce Springsteen

Yes. She was very specific in endorsing Harris/Walz. I don't how you possibly missed it. I'm pretty sure the "cat lady" tweet you were talking about was also the endorsement. There was a thread in here talking about it as well.
And if she did?
She did. As for what you're alluding to, if she wants to weigh into politics, she can expect some heat just like any other prominent figures that do so. She ain't immune to it.

Didn't Captain Bonsepurs try using one of his songs in a campaign?
who's that? If it's donald, he's got a weird choice in music to begin with, the village people? I think Bruce and Donald have been going back and forth ever since 2015 or whenever Trumps first run began.

Yeah that double fisting Young Man was extraordinary.

Im not a fan of Trump but Bruce Springsteen is some of the worst fucking music ever. I grew up in Long Island NY and i see red whenever i hear Springsteen, Journey or Bon Jovi. All that fucking garbage was played everywhere and i couldnt escape it.

So, i guess i am kind of on Trump's side here. Only because erasing Bruce Springsteen from history would be a net positive for humanity
Springsteen fucking sucks . I cant believe people fanatically follow this guy

I dig some of his songs and can get nostalgic at times, but in general I'm not a big fan. Regardless, he is a slice of Americana.
I'm not the biggest Bruce Springsteen fan, but Nebraska is a fucking masterpiece, and anyone who denies that can eat a family sized bag of dicks.

Mate, I'm not Springsteen fanism either but him calling him overrated and has been blah blah blah when he sold out Manchester and Porcini Pecker couldn't fill a room for his 100 days says a lot about read the room and learn who to be butt hurt over.

why wouldn't he have those beliefs? And what possible dirt could Springsteen have on him that would turn heads in the rock and roll world. That lifestyle is known to be backwards and decadent, isn't much he could do that would shock anyone except shit like serial killing.

Well he was a rock star in the 70s and 80s so probably some creepy sexual shit like weinstein

some people have said that, there's even an entire book dedicated that's a deep dive into it. Personally, I could never really get that into that album, couldn't tell you why. It's not the reason that some critics hated his work from those years, the reason some critics and people hated his music was that they just never lived such dreary, hopeless, desperate lives. My personal fave of all time is Darkness On The Edge Of Town. But most of his albums I liked a lot, he only put out a few that really didn't do it for me.

anything's possible, probably about the worst he's done is messed with girls around 16 or 17 in an era when that wasn't really fussed about. Times change, they'll call you a :eek::eek::eek:phile for that today but back then, it was accepted. Lots of male celebs courted and married 16-17 year olds and people didn't really say anything and they didn't do anything to hide it.

I don't know though, they are trying to take Smokey Robinson to the cleaners over rape. Now, out of all the dudes they could try and pull a me too on he's about the least believable.

Bruce is a great songwriter and he had the good fortune to have one of the best backing bands in rock history. Even if he did suck, the band behind him is magic and his music has never quite been the same without them.

he doesn't seem to have problems selling in europe as far as I'm aware.

Sherbro

You're tripping putting Bon Jovi and the Boss in the same category

Its safe to say Bruce is not just a hero of the tri-state area but an American icon at this point.

You could really benefit from some accurate historical analysis of fascism and the rise of fascism presently all around the world. This is a serious problem and I don't know if you know this, but many of the world scholars on fascism are leaving this country because they're worried about what's happening. You think it's all a big joke and that Trump can just mock people and threaten people. And it's funny, but you need to educate yourself on the historical reality of what that looks like.

There are several scholars that I have been listening to for the last 15 or 20 years on this topic and who have been predicting the rise of someone like trump and fascism and you might want to listen to their thoughts.

@terrapin
Im pretty sure it was you put me on to Snyder in a previous post and I forgot to respond/ thank you.

He makes some haunting and erudite assessments of not just US political climate, but globally.

That's great man. There are a number of scholars that have really put what's happening in perspective for me. They cut through all the BS from both sides and place everything happening in historical context.

Exactly. So Papaya Pussygrabber saying he's a has been when in his mid 70s he's selling out gigantic venues is absurd. Some of his songs are iconic to the US. Everyone knows him worldwide. I just asked husband if we own Born in The USA on vinyl and we do apparently haha.

he didn't seem to have a lot of trouble in seattle, I couldn't get a ticket for less than 200 so I missed out. As I stated, Bruce is serious about money in spite of the image of the voice of the downtrodden. No one's perfect.

He's on his last legs selling out venues worldwide. Again, not something I'd listen to on a roadtrip but overrated is ridiculous.
