In regards to peace, that is in ongoing negotiations. The fact that we have a president that is actually participating in negotiations for peace puts us significantly closer to that outcome over the prior administration who was having ZERO discussions and only wanting to escalate the matter. That's not even debatable.

Where is that 70% number coming from? Russia had made it adamant well before this that they wouldn't agree to any sort of temporary ceasefire, only a full peace agreement. There is no benefit to a temporary ceasefire for Russia who is in the driving seat. That only allows Ukraine to build up their defenses to continue fighting. It was clear the moment they talked about a temporary ceasefire that Russia would not accept it, everyone knew that.
