He could have had deferments but he is a real patriot and made that sacrifice. He was a grunt and saw actual combat. I said consistently that prices, overall, never come down, as people were blaming Biden for the continued high prices. I would post the Consumer Price Index, over time,showing they only really move up, and even if you can impact singular items and get them down, it is only short term.

The way to counter inflation is with increased incomes outpacing the inflation.

So magats need to now shift in the way Trump is shifting and say they never really believed what they were saying prior about Trump being able to bring them down by 'drill baby drill' and any other method he was claiming.


The good news though is Trump is not backsliding on all promises. He has reaffirmed those Corporate Tax cuts are still a priority and you can bet, if nothing else, that promise will be kept no matter how much they explode the deficit.

Prices coming down is called deflation.

He is not a fan whatsoever. For a lot of the reasons I stated regarding the draft, service, and that no Trump has ever served for our freedoms. In addition, my family owned a small business for 40 years and we have seen what Trump does to those types of businesses - mainly contractors that work on his properties i.e. Taj Mahal or however it was spelled.

We will see what happens, I hope things go okay but it’s not a good sign he is already backtracking and he isn’t even in office. The majority in here supporting him have made excuses ITT that “every politician lies to get elected” but I thought Trump was different?? Well if the guy they chose is tapping out on it before he’s even sworn in, then I’d say those people are pretty fucking dumb, are they not?
Otherwise I’m supposed to believe that they overlooked Trump being one of the worst humans in America when they never really believed he would do the stuff they elected him to do?

Perhaps it’s more likely that they absolutely believed he could, and now don’t have the courage to admit they were conned yet again. If not, that would mean a whole lot of people voted for him because of his racism/hatred/etc and not is spite of it, and that’s a sad thought.
