Colorado Files Disciplinary Charges Against Trump Attorney Jenna Ellis​

Charges Follow States United Letter Calling for Ellis’s Disbarment, Ellis’s Guilty Plea in Georgia; Experts Available for Interviews

Denver, CO — The States United Democracy Center released the following statement in response to the Colorado Supreme Court’s Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel (OARC) filing four disciplinary charges against Trump attorney Jenna Ellis today. The charges follow her felony guilty plea in the Fulton County, Georgia election interference case, as well as a letter from States United and Lawyers Defending American Democracy to the OARC calling for Ellis’s disbarment. The letter was signed by more than a dozen bipartisan legal experts.

Gillian Feiner, Senior Counsel at the States United Democracy Center:

“Lawyers have a responsibility to follow the law and keep their oath. Jenna Ellis’s conduct poisoned trust in our democracy and put election workers in danger. She was already censured in Colorado for lying about the 2020 election on TV. Since then, she’s admitted she went even further and committed a crime when she helped Donald Trump try to overturn his loss.

“No one is above the law. That’s why we urged the Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel to seek additional discipline against Jenna Ellis. We’re pleased that the OARC is pursuing further accountability.”

and in the mar a lago case, trump's pet judge is still doing her best to cater to her rapist messiah and stall the trial. this is an open and shut case but they just had to have crapped out when it came to appointing the judge. i think she even made some kind of ruling that donald trump doesn't even have to disclose which of the documents he had declassified or some shit. at this point they should probably seek to have her removed from this case because its been clear from the very start what her intentions are. all of those wrongful rulings that got swiftly struck down and overruled in the appeals court during trumps lawsuit he filed to try to stop the doj from taking ownership of the evidence they recovered at the mar-a-lago just goes to show her prejudice and that she cannot be impartial. get rid of this judge and bring on anybody else. she's out for sabotage.

I don't think she's actually made any rulings that are appealable though, she just delays at all turns, and issues these paperless or minute orders that AFAIK can't be appealed.

That said, I think they could petition the circuit court to have her removed, it would just be very unlikely to succeed (according to what I've read) even though it's very clear she is fucking this assignment up in a large way.

She has to actually make some decisions that can be appealed, but she has been very careful not to do that, because she's been scolded/reversed already. This woman shouldn't be judging a pie contest. She is unfit for duty.
