For sure...but with that many defendants the case was going to take a year if everything went smoothly...but it's been in Limbo for 8 months now and I don't see things cranking back up until 2025. Between McAfee being a willing participant in delay due to fuckery, and Scotus tilting the landscape in favor of Orangina Antichrist it's been a disappointment. If it were you or I that pulled this type of shit, we'd be long in jail already.
I think it's a slam dunk, but we'll be lucky if it all gets decided prior to the 2028 election.

Well.... Judge Chutkan is back in action, and it seems like the same old shit show.

Prosecutors want to lump all the immunity shit in one bucket and deal with it.... this will result in one chance for yet another interlocutory appeal.
Defense counsel certainly doesn't want that... since they want to delay until the sun burns out.

I was starting to write a breakdown, but then this guy posted a video explaining it better than I could, with a whole lot more insight then I could have.

Here's the thing.

Dude has no fucking idea about NY law or how it runs. It's a similar situation to Trump's primary legal counsel in the case that all came from outside NY practice. It is a major kindness on the part of Merchan that Trump's counsel has not been censured yet. If Trump were not the defendant, I am positive they would have been dealt with much more proactively.

NY IS and WANTS TO BE perceived as the business capitol of the world. As such, there are much more stringent laws on the books, and prosecution of same.

So, what you could get away with in Florida may not fly in NY. This is a STATE case, so unless you are up on NY norms/procedures you are going to be a fish out of water, and not really understand how he was CONVICTED.


Plus, Trump is NOT surging in the polls, he's getting crushed...that dated poorly

I saw a bit about the case this morning. The commentator was saying that their reporter in the court was saying that Judge Chutkan wasn't having any of Trump's lawyers BS. She said they've had a delay of over a year and it's time to get things going.

Chutkan also smacked Lauro down after he tried to say something like... This is a very important time in American history..... Chutkan cut him off and said something to the effect of the court not giving a fuck about the election, the court is concerned with the law and trying a 4 count indictment, she doesn't want to hear that posturing shit.

That's as close to a stfu as we are likely to see in Chutkan's court.
