@Super_Nintendo is engaging in what is referred to in psychology as self-deception. Like Trump's other cultists, he's found himself in too deep, and his ego will not allow him to either admit that he was wrong, or that his cult-leader has committed any wrongdoing.

I try not to engage with him as much as I used to, because I was starting to find making fun of him cruel (and boring since he isn't really capable of an actual spirited debate, since he's stuck defending the indefensible).

He's beyond rationality, and nobody will ever reach him at this point.
