So three out of your four examples are objectively false claims (well, you don't say anything about Benghazi--it exists, but the CTs around it are false). The other one is weird, but not something that matters, and could just be a faulty memory (why the fuck would someone lie about that? I don't know).

I agree and think we could benefit greatly from scientists helping make decisions. But they would be terrible at campaigning, raising money, etc.. Good political leaders surround themselves with good advisers, which include scientists.

Tyson was on Sam Harris's podcast and literally refused to take a position on any political matter. It just wouldn't work. Plus, scientists like doing science and would likely be miserable in politics. There's a good reason the majority of politicians are attorneys by training.
