A perfect example is to watch the Wolves of Chernobyl and see how even serious radiation is less harmful to the population than human hunters are. Once you remove the human hunters the packs returns to size and strength not seen for ages.

I think your missing the point which was that hunting is not good for the animals as hunters like to say.

Trophy hunting culls the strongest and leaves the weakest to mate thus kicking off a weirdly regressive devolution where the best way to survive is being the weakest of the pack. And you can see it in real time when you see how much rarer it is for hunters to find true trophy quality Bucks and other animals.

And I'm pro hunting, but for food. Trophy hunting is a scourge.

If they want to be hunting for conservation, they should be hunting small cats, feral dogs, pigs, goats, rabbits, foxes, camels, horses, buffalo and deer that have been introduced to ecosystems where they don't belong.

Conservation can be the culling the non breeding age males.
Take the big controversy over that giraffe getting killed a couple of years ago. It could no longer breed and would kill any young bulls that came into the area, stopping the females from being impregnated. They killed the bull, the females got impregnated, and the species continued.

In terms of priorities, the largest threat to biodiversity in most ecosystems is habitat loss and invasive species.
The financial incentives and the usual tragedy of the commons means that the culling of breeding age males has failed as a strategy in developing nations.
Those aren't issues which exist with the eradication of feral pests.

I did some quick searches on here and through a major search engine. I'm good with my opinion that condemnation of trophy-hunting works up more people than factory-farming. If you wanna prove something you go right ahead.
