No offense, I know you guys think this guy is amazing but if they are giving him Pickett and Gore who are barely "DWCS level" fighters, then that does not inspire much confidence. It feels like a Paddy Pimblett career trayectory to me than one from a real contender. He was on a ppv fighting Pickett and everyone here was drooling to see that fight. Maybe they are trying to milk you guys for as much as they can until you all figure out that he is not as impressive in MMA as he was on Wrestling. A lot of hype but I don't see anything special.

Sure, you can say he is "new" to the sport and whatever. But that excuse won't fly for too long if he fights more guys like these is his next fights like Paddy keeps doing...

All this build up and need for "cage time" makes me respect Lesnar more for fighting a former UFC champ and dangerous submission artist in Frank Mir in his second fight...as well as the 1990s fighters who got thrown into tournaments where they were almost assured to fight one of the top fighters--assuming they won their first match or two. Or BJ Penn fighting and finishing Caol Uno for a title eliminator in his 3rd fight (Uno already had 19 fights at the time).

Not bashing Bo, BTW. He seems more like an old school type who would fight for the title next week if he got a chance.

I like Bo, but the hype he is getting is completely unwarranted. Other former prospects like Khamzat, Shavkat, Sean Brady etc showed good MMA skills before entering the UFC

All the Dagestani's cut down to 155lb, years in advance to avoid his eventual coming. Khabib and Islam was too scared to even fight at 170 cause that was too close to 185.

The UFC needs to give Bo a lot of cage time to work on approach, training in general and how to navigate some adversity. I doubt Gore is the one who would bring the latter, but he does provide cage time for Bo. Why not? They really should work him up slowly. There's no need to rush him at this point.

4-0 vs 4-2 is a reasonable match up experience wise. Don't see a problem with it. Maybe Tresean will catch Bo on the feet or with a disgusting guillotine. The slow play is good and proper way to build stuff up too many times the UFC has thrown promising prospects to the wolves to early and killed their careers.

If you mean in freestyle wrestling then not really. At U23 Worlds he faced Shamil Zubairov, a Dagestani and a cadet World champion, National champion, and later senior Worlds silver medalist, and beat him. So let’s keep it real.

Yeah he had no business fighting Higo, Corrales, and Borics that early in his career even though he had success in all those fights he got brutally finished in two of them

I agree but it’s also a tough spot for Bo, it’s like people will shit on him for not fighting big names but if he does fight big name talented opponents he could be defeated badly and have the interest in his career significantly damaged.
