Who thought it was smart for Bo Nickal to fight RDR?

They did treat RDR oddly. RDR was a two division ONE champ before the two Malykhin fights. The UFC’s treatment of other org’s champs or former champs is so inconsistent. Jiri got Volkan first, Chandler got Hooker… and then RDR gets Meerschaert for some reason. I think the UFC really underestimated RDR’s ability.
Rdr was coming in on 2 losses, I think they were giving him a gatekeeper to see what he did with it, and as much of douche as Bo comes across he was an American prospect, that means alot to the ufc, then they gave him a top 5 fan favorite, hes taken the ball and run with it, hes now basically in a title eliminator

The eyes and “looks” can be deceiving

Bo thought he was watching an uncoordinated striker without any explosiveness to his grappling and figured he could run his game on a “big name” like De Ridder and propel himself in the division with the easiest fight

Bo didn’t realize just how crafty Ridder actually was and also how big the guy was across from him on fight night. He definitely fucked around and found out

Yeah I get it, I just think it was a bit unfair. Both losses were to Malykhin, who’s a beast and was undefeated. Although RDR didn’t exactly look good against Meerschaert either, I suppose.

No one will admit it now but the Bo haters on here were all outraged at him for taking such an "easy matchup" again. No I'm not kidding, this was very recent and should be easy for everyone to recall, unless they are too ashamed of their opinions and try to bury them.

They apparently bought into the same idea as Bo himself that he was developing some kind of prime Chuck Liddell fighting style.
