Tresean Gore (4-2-0) has verbally agreed to face the undefeated super prospect Bo Nickal (4-0-0) on the 10th of July.

Gore aint ready. Another victory in the bag for the Bo Nickal hype train.

The UFC needs to give Bo a lot of cage time to work on approach, training in general and how to navigate some adversity. I doubt Gore is the one who would bring the latter, but he does provide cage time for Bo. Why not? They really should work him up slowly. There's no need to rush him at this point.

Indeed Gore provides cage time, but he has very little to offer wrestling wise against Bo.

I would like to see him get brought up gradually, and I hope some of these guys will have wrestling as their main foundation.

Tresean's TDD has, historically speaking, been pretty good in the UFC at 81%. He also has big power and some BJJ in his back pocket. He's clearly a very athletic guy. Explosive, fast. He just has suspect cardio and overcompensates by fighting at an extremely tepid pace with little output, looking for that one perfect shot and not minding if he gets put up against the fence and out-hustled.

I think Bo beats him, but on paper it's a somewhat more dangerous match-up than Pickett was.

I like Bo, but the hype he is getting is completely unwarranted. Other former prospects like Khamzat, Shavkat, Sean Brady etc showed good MMA skills before entering the UFC

As much as I want to see him tested, getting Nickal more cage time against lower tier competition is the best choice in building him. Throwing him to the wolves at this point is a good way to ruin a prospect. Give him another couple easy fights and if he’s for real he’ll pass them and face some stiffer competition in a year or so.

Not really? Nassourdine Imavov and Abus Magomedov were both born in Dagestan but live and train outside of Russia and represent France and Germany respectively.
