Ilia will fight Diego Lopes next and then Movsar or Volk after that. He has a lot of work to do. After 3 title defenses we can talk about him moving up.

Yes he beat Max but Evloev and Lopes are rising contenders that Topuria have the obligation to fight both as the champ.

They’ve both cleaned out their divisions. I see this fight happening in late 2025 or early 2026.

Who do y’all have? Forget that—I’m going with Topuria. I think he will knock out Islam. Islam has improved leaps and bounds, but he does have suspect defense at times. And Topuria, despite being cringey sometimes, is actually a very special fighter. I’ve never seen someone with his speed and power (he’s like a 4x version of Josh Emmett).

It wasn't effortless at all, he went for a single and then change position to get around Ilias hips. It wasn't hard, but it wasn't effortless.

Regardless, he landed 1 of 9 and was completely dominated and finished.

How long does someone have to fight in a division before they are considered to "belong"? People calling Charles, Dustin and Moicano FW's is so dumb. Moicano hasn't made FW in nearly six years, it's been even longer for both Charles and Dustin.

Ironically hes actually a grappler first LOL.

Its crazy to think about that because of his boxing but Topuria is actually a grappler. I have no doubt he will be ok. Evloev most likely has the better wrestling obviously but thats really the only thing I can see from him.

I am telling you honestly -- Ive never seen a guy fast and powerful like Topuria. Emmett is a little bit similar in the way they use their boxing but Topuria is obviously levels ahead.

Maybe I am exagerating but I think he special. And I agree that he need to focus on his division first. Thats why I said late 2025 or early 2026. They both have to fight at least once (Islam has Oliveira and Topuria Evloev or Lopes).

I think the UFC hate Evloev though so I wouldnt be surprised if Lopes is the one they choose. I think Topuria finishes Lopes tbh (Evloev too).
