College Top 20 Running Backs All Time

Brown played in 12/14 game seasons, bummer for his numbers.

Sanders should be the All Time rushing king, what he did made no sense at all.
It made sense to him. Why play when you no longer have love for the game? The Lions weren’t going to improve the roster for him.

There are smokers druggies where it made sense to them.,

I would have....

I only have a few seasons left and would like to win a title so either trade me or I retire.

A few things about that above Sayers video.

Brian Piccolo was out of Wake Forest where he led the nation in rushing.

Speaking of leading the nation, while Sayers was in HS he led the nation in the long jump with a 24-11 leap (HS kids)

His older bro Roger a world class sprinter who once beat Bob Hayes, He was also a great football player but at only 160 pounds too small for the NFL , hmmmmmm.....kick returner?

Who do you have at #2? Prime OJ?

Because OJ's '73 is clearly still the GOAT season.
Well I mean this isn't an "in their prime" list. OJ overall probably 5-6. Overall season to season it has to be Barry #1. He did so much with so little while the opposing D constantly zeroed in on him, he still managed to put up 5ypc and 100 ypg.

Obviously I like RB;s I played the position in high school.

But........I don't use a first round pick on any RB. there are just too many of them that can average 4 yards a carry, which is all you need. As we know a stud back puts you in third and short, so.....run? pass? meaning no ........rush the QB he must throw.

Looking like Jeanty will go in round one....Bears?
This was back when they wore leather helmets and the goal posts were at the front of the end zone, right 76 year old d00sh?

What are you trying to talk about, yep....???

Back in the day RB's were far more valuable than we see today. Have never seen a game where everyone wore leather helmets, ah........take that back I have seen videos of Red Grange,

Found this by accident was looking for a Woody Guthrie tune, I know.....huh?

There is a guy named Houston McTear who as a HS juinior tied the 100 yard world record at 9.0. He was out of Baker HS in Florida, story goes he averaged over 13 yards a carry as a RB on the football team.. So what happened.........he couldn't make the grades to attend a big school so he ended up out here in Cali at Cerritos JC.

Did see him anchor a 4x2 Iin Fresno, yep, came from way back to stun the crowd. the PA guy......ladies and gentleman Houston McTear..........a world ranked cat running JC track.

1977 World Rankings 100m
1.................. Eugen Ray (East Germany)
2........................... Houston McTear (US)
3.............................. Steve Williams (US)
4.......................... Silvio Leonard (Cuba)
5........................... Clancy Edwards (US)
6......................... Don Quarrie (Jamaica)oth clocli
7................. Hasely Crawford (Trinidad)
8............................... Johnny Jones (US).....future Jet WR
9............................ Pietro Mennea (Italy)
10............................. Steve Riddick (US

When he got out of school he hooked up with Muhammad Ali, who financed him so he could keep on running, a shame we boycotted the 80 Olympics.

Herschel Walker once beat McTear in an indoor 60, both clocking 5.29, noway Walker beats him in a 100.

Not to belittle our picks but I do think most football fans have the same top three.

I can see Sanders at number one, what he was doing was amazing,. Nobody ever gave me more.........did I really see that...than he did.

The thing with Brown is how he simply looked like a man vs boys, so bg so fast so strong. He wasn't as...wow.....as Sanders, more..damn~~~~~~~~
