War Wagon Tom Haters better pull up the Tapology and Wikipedia Pages on Jailton Almeida and Start Genning Up

Since rankings were introduced, has a #1 ranked contender ever been a bigger underdog in a championship fight than Gane is going into this one? I know challengers have been bigger dogs, but I can't remember any that were the genuine true #1 ranked fighter being +350 like this

We had the new breeds and now we have the next gens

War Big Tom !
Bangers and mash fo everybody
Britain in this ho

Jailton is a very bad man. Just had a brainfart vs Curtis.

I think he beats Volkov.

That outcome with Blaydes was inevitable and a matter of time. He kept putting himself in those positions over and over vs Lewis, but Lewis having no ground game couldn't capitalize fully. Blaydes being a better wrestler and solid GNP was gonna get that finish eventually.

I’m not rewinding anything. Tom wouldn’t have done a damn thing for Jones. I don’t blame Jon for his lack of interest

LMAO okay. It was an incredibly anticipated fight. You can try to pretend otherwise, but it won't change that.

But honestly, it's not a bad thing if Jones just wants "fun" fights vs big names that he thinks he can beat (like Poatan). No issue at all, I'll watch. But pretending it's the "real" championship fight just males you look like a clown. Jones had the belt. Had the chance to unify. Retired for 10 minutes to avoid one guy. So, any other fight he takes at HW won't be for anything other than a good HW fight.

I dont care about that, I just want to see all the Gane shit talkers eat crow.

So I wanna ask you as a true Gane fan--what do you realistically think his chances are? Not what you want to happen, but putting aside your biases the best you can--what % chance do you give him. (I'm sort of asking this from the bettors perspective since I bet a lot of MMA).

Personally, I objectively think Aspinall is clearly the better fighter. More power, at least as much speed (maybe more), far superior grappling. That said, Gane has some very obvious positive attributes. Extremely fluid striking at HW. Better footwork than anyone I can remember in the division. Great athlete.

From the gambler's perspective, this is a pass for me. Tom **should** win, but the line is incredibly wide for a high variance weight class in a high variance sport. And while Gane has some flaws, he's not some last minute replacement bum thrown in there as cannon fodder to keep the champ on the card. He's a legit HW with legit wins, so paying -4xx juice against him doesn't make sense to me (even on a killer like Aspinall).

So what is your OBJECTIVE breakdown, and what % chance do you give Gane?

I’ll take it!

50%

Eye of the beholder I guess. I'm a fan of Aspinall because I like exciting fighters that get finishes.

Whatever you think of his fan base, (which I guess includes me), rest assured that even if we try, we can't approach the level of obnoxiousness that the Jones die hards have ascended to. Like...I just wanted to see the best HW's fight each other. And the Jones dickriders became so fucking insufferable in this "Aspinall is a nobody, our hero and savior doesn't need to unify" bullshit that there was no choice but to plant a flag on the Aspinall side.
I'm sorry but the only person who could tjink toms fanbase is the most obnoxious in ages would be a Jones stans.

Jones fanbase
Conors
Some of the dagi fanbase
Some of the khamzat fanbase

There's several examples already without even thinking about

Its an absolutely absurd contention.

Without Jones bs and the Jones stans, Tom's fanbase would largely be chill like he is. Of course there was a reaction to the yellow liver behaviour of Jones and his stans defending it. But quite mild compared to the groups above

What in the genning up is "6-7"?

Don't ask. Random trend among American (maybe worldwide?) kids that makes no sense and apparently isn't supposed to. I have a teen daughter, and I swear social media is making the real world into that movie "Idiocracy".
