Tom Clancy's: The Division 2 - Official Thread

Yup. My damn materials are at max capacity it’s great
I hear you. Good stuff. Titanium has been the scarcest resource for me in general – you too or something else?

Same for me.

I want more crafting blueprints too... I WANT A GODDAMN M249 BLUEPRINT. I don't hate the M60 but I prefer the ROF on the M249 plus it feels more stable to shoot.

I'm a bolt-action M44 Carbine nut so I specifically kept eyes out for and then singularly focussed on the Project to acquire the schematics for it. I had a huge smile on my face after which, ha; now when I level up, I know I have an ace up my sleeve back at Base if I need it. Feel you.

I also like how the more you shoot LMGs the tighter the spread gets. I had a M249 that went from the wide shot to super tight in like 3 bullets. Thing dropped for me around Lvl 9 though so I had to deconstruct it.

I feel I loot a plethora of gear with specifically SMG and LMG perks so that's a smart weapon-class to call your own; 5-10% DMG boost for example can be engagement-determining as guys start closing in on you and you need bodies to drop.

Lot's of LMGs I've had drop have bonus's to elite and up Critical Damage by 10%. I have a like 70% Critical Hit Damage rating right now

70? Damn, son. Remind me not to run into you, ha!

My chance is only like 30% though

I remember the best build I had in the 1st one had a CritChance at like 35% but the CritDamage was like 120%. The Vector I had was BEASTLY. Gun sucks donkey dick without an extended mag though.

120 when chance strikes is a death sentence though so no doubt on the power you were packing. Hate shallow mags too and is why reload is a stat I zero in on religiously. I like the look of Vectors but they never feel right to me, almost not weighty enough if that makes sense. Their ROF is pedal to the floor though, as you well know.

As for SMGs, I love the black-market T821. That's a mean little mother… *pop, pop, pop, pop

I'm using a specialized sawed-off double barrel shotgun as a sidearm. It's a one-hitter-quitter....

For now... :(

Is the Score of items determined by World Tier or by your own average Score? Right now I’m sitting around 255 average Score and I’m seeing some 270ish drops, will the drops get better as my own Score gets better or do I need to advance World tiers?

If you're not playing with assault rifles with all the optimal range mods you're doing it wrong. I'm literally killing enemies from marksman rifle range.

Yes and no, as I get it. I'm a GS 315 or thereabouts so within ballpark of you.

Tier (for agents not there yet – ranges from 1-4 and reflects how much (4) or little (1) of the city you've won back from DC's leanest and meanest, PED-empowered faction, The Black Tusks, who move in after you've done the dirty work of weakening each of their rival groups) correlates to, firstly, enemy difficulty and, secondly, range-proportionate rewards that are capped at a certain score and quality-build per your Tier; the range of gear in each Tier is well varied so it's not the case that you're idling along the way. 270-scored gear is perfectly in sync with a Tier-1 DC and 300 should be your (rough) ceiling, Minn.

If you're a GS 255, you're Tier 1 and experiencing said fluctuations – meaning, drops are incrementally levelling to you with the usual inferior-superior crapshoot on what exactly but within Tier-limits. The only times I'd noticed loot seemed out of balance with my standing were Main-mission pickings as they have fixed level designations; to compare, Side missions do not.

There's an alpha Tier 5 coming apparently but elite at time of writing is 4 and what I believe translates to a GS 400-450. The Tier-5 gear is also, iirc, to introduce series-new attributes and such. I read that last bit somewhere the other day; could be pretty neat. I got enough problems as it is though and can't think on that, ha. Lost my second bounty today, grrr. Dude had Oxidisers (the pink-smoking, corrosive agent) on demand and reduced me to a chemical pool before I could get going.

Also wanted to mention if feeling stuck on or ball-and-chained to a certain GS – and wanting a bump but can't yet overtake Strongholds to tier up, that recalibrating an equipped gear piece will recalculate its (individual) item score. I've noticed a 13P jump in item score, for example, can be an addition to your GS by +1-2, roughly. Recalibrating attribute x (on equipped piece) for a Skill power variable particularly seems to yield good point returns, in my experience.

Hope you're enjoying the ride!

I haven't even finished the main stuff and I'm at 30 lol

No idea where agents are finding masks to don. I haven't happened upon a single one…

My character model has definitely changed a bit since yesterday's update, slightly so but still – now I look Cro-Magnon. Is my sudden mask curiosity now all the more transparent?

Was listening to a Hatebreed album the other day and the track Beholder of Justice came on. What a perfect, last-man-standing track to have secured rights to and play during one of the finale/boss showdowns in TD2. Absolutely killer, that.

Of the breakdown, specifically, an incredible architecture of atmosphere is there and in an intense gunfight for DC between good and evil? Fuhgeddaboudit.

Put yourself on one of the final mission stages where you struggled to survive the onslaught and/or veteran shotcaller. Everything aquiver with the cover you're behind being pummelled in gunfire; you're firing back, moving, breaking enemy armour, getting tagged, then bleeding or blinded by an overlooking sniper you forgot to neutralise moments earlier, just hanging on without even an armour kit left, and hoping that next headshot lands where you need it to. Timestamped:

Just reached the Endgame....
Black Tusk await your superhero ass. Now the real fight begins, brother. Lorry-sized, aerial drones that light you up and other assorted menacing mech. Congratulations on making it through.
